Why The Healing Village Was Created
The Healing Village was founded with the intention of reimagining how mental health care is experienced—both for clients and for the professionals who serve them. For clients, the practice was designed to remove common barriers to care by offering a welcoming and supportive onboarding experience. This includes the ability to call or text the office, access to f
riendly and responsive front-office staff, clear and accessible communication, and an environment that is safe, inclusive, and respectful of individuals of all ages and backgrounds. The goal is for clients to feel supported and cared for from their very first point of contact, not just once therapy begins. For clinicians and staff, The Healing Village was created to be a place of professional support, collaboration, and growth. This includes weekly one-on-one check-ins focused on clinician well-being, biweekly meetings for continued learning and development, and a practice structure that encourages clinicians to pursue their passions and areas of specialization. The belief is that when clinicians feel supported, valued, and connected, they are better able to provide high-quality care to the community. The Healing Village was built on the belief that meaningful and sustainable mental health care requires collaboration. Each person brings unique strengths, and together we can create something stronger than any one individual could alone.
“It takes a village.”
