Our car wash looked a little different this time - it was all about the wheels on the wheelchairs!

Residents took pride in getting those rims shining and wheel bases sparkling clean.

It was a fun activity that brought smiles, conversation, and a sense of accomplishment while helping keep the equipment looking its best.

We celebrated the meaning behind Memorial Day as a day honoring those who served and sacrificed.

Max and JoAnn met at a country dance hall at Hager School, where community dances first brought them together.

Although JoAnn’s father thought she was too young to date, Max always knew they would one day be married, and two years later, they were.

Together they built a beautiful life in Shawnee on 160 acres of land, raising three sons and later welcoming eight granddaughters into the family.

We celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary and a lifetime filled with love, memories, and unwavering commitment to one another.
