Hettie Legg and Associates LLC We provide Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services to the Nacogdoches area.

We offer full service, diagnostic and treatment, for multiple Speech & Language Disorders. This includes Language Disorders for both children and adults, Fluency Disorders, Articulation Disorders and Tongue Thrust. We also treat Voice disorders, those with Parkinson’s, Dysphonia, and Hypernasality. Additionally we treat Dysphagia, Aphasia and speech problems caused by stroke. We offer Speech Train

ing to the hearing impaired, and hold specialty training in Lee Silverman Voice Training (LSVT). Also, for your convenience our office has a Spanish Interpreter on staff and we offer free transportation to those that qualify, after the initial evaluation. Next week so many of our kiddos are officially Back to School! We’re so excited to hear all about all the new teachers and experiences.

Please remember to let our office staff know of any changes you will be needing once the school year begins. Our after school spots are extremely limited, but we will do our best to accommodate you!

Our school schedule starts on August 17th. Our hours will be M-Th 8:00am-6:30pm and F 8:00am-2:30pm.

Happy Friday everyone! We have one last staff spotlight before July comes to a close. Today’s spotlight is on Tiffany!

Tiffany is a member of our Support Staff! She began her journey here at HLA in April 2023.

Tiffany is a steady support for our staff and therapists, and we are so lucky to have her! Not only is she a big help, but she’s also an absolute HOOT to be around. Tiffany is quick witted and sassy, always sharing a laugh and a joke with those around her. We love having her as a part of our HLA family. ❤️

It’s always so hard to say goodbye. 😢 This week we said goodbye to 2 amazing therapists.

Our absolutely amazing Ms. Brenna’s last day was Wednesday. She is leaving in order to have more time to spend with her grandbabies and parents. She’s been an amazing part of our HLA family since 2015.

Friday will be our creative and sweet Ms. Jasmine’s last day. She is taking a job in Lufkin ISD, which is closer to home and meets her needs better. Jasmine has been a part of our family since 2023.

We are heartbroken to say the least, but are wishing them both the absolute best as they move forward. We love you and will miss you so, so much! ❤️

Today’s spotlight is on Sandra!!

Sandra began her journey at HLA in December 2025. Sandra is one of our Authorization Specialists. She works to get our new patients authorized and ready to be scheduled. She also ensures our graduated patients receive their personalized certificates and are discharged efficiently.

Sandra is quick on her feet, adjusting to our systems and our team at record speed. She can seem quiet, but don’t let her fool you, she has quite the sense of humor and sass! We love having Sandra as a part of our HLA family. ❤️

Today’s Spotlight is on Robbie!!!

Robbie has been a part of our HLA family since 2008! She is an Authorization Specialist. This means she is in charge of coordinating with insurance companies to receive authorization in order to ensure continuation services for all current patients.

Robbie is extremely hardworking and thoughtful. She a bright light to everyone around her, frequently sharing kind words and compliments to others. Robbie is quiet presence, but she is immensely valuable to our team and we can’t imagine doing this without her continual support and diligence. We love Robbie, and are so proud to have her in the HLA family. ❤️

Our 2nd staff spotlight today is on Megan!

Megan started her journey here at HLA in the early months of 2026 as a COTA student. Once she graduated in May 2026, she returned and began working as apart of our support staff while she waited for her licensure to be finalized. She is now currently filling in as a COTA for staff that are out of town, and once the fall schedule starts she will completely transition to a COTA role!

Megan is a go getter. She is up for anything and loves to laugh. We have love seeing her grow and learn and are excited to see how she continues to grow in the future! So happy to have her on our team! ❤️
