Midwives can be plumbers too 😅🤪 Just kidding, we *mostly* don’t possess those skills. But, if your hose gets stuck in your toilet as we’re draining your birth tub, our skilled hands are really good at finding creative ways to get things out of tight places so we just might be successful in getting it out 😉
Midwifery is so much more than catching babies. It’s smiling and laughing at 2am while removing a stuck hose from a toilet. It’s not being able to wipe a gigantic smile of pure joy off your face at 3am after no sleep on your way home from a birth. It’s a calling that is like no other, and I’m so grateful for it.
So just know, when we are coming to your birth, we are coming because we love this work and we love you. And if sometimes that incudes a little toilet/hose dystocia, we will manage that too 🤍
