Some of yall know, and some don't because I don't talk about it a whole lot, that I have been assigned as a detective with my agency for about a year now. The bulk of my case load has been s*x crimes against children investigations, s*xtortion, and child p*rnography.
The common theme is most of these cases are the parents of the child victim. The parents have no clue what their child is doing, who they're talking to, and what this person is doing or having their child do.
The resources for parents are available, but they generally havnt heard about them until it's from me outside of an interview room with their child.
northstar is my attempt help in the fight to save our kids. There are evil people in this world, and that will never change, but how we protect our children from them needs to constantly be reevaluated and improved. My goal here is to educate parents and kids, provide resources and products that will help us be the Northstar and guiding light for our kids.
