It's Day! We want to highlight our Caregiver Cecelia Emery who is making a difference in Mesa, AZ! We love 🌟celebrating🌟 our wonderful team members who truly go above and beyond for their clients, communities, and fellow team members.

Our All Ways Caring HomeCare - Idaho team, Executive Director for Southern/Eastern Idaho Lindsey Hendricks and Branch Manager Gemma Sandoval, showed up for their Veterans at the Treasure Valley Stand Down Veteran Event hosted last month. They showed up representing All Ways Caring and made sure to inform Veterans about services they are entitled to for serving our country.

💙🏡 What a wonderful afternoon serving our community! ☀️

April, Branch Manager, and Laura, Caregiver, spent the afternoon at a local health fair connecting with community members, visiting with veterans 🇺🇸, and sharing how Always Caring Idaho Falls helps seniors and individuals remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes with the support of compassionate caregivers. 💕

We wrapped up our afternoon volunteering and serving food at the Shelley Senior Citizen Center! 🍽️🥰

From meaningful conversations to lending a helping hand, it was an afternoon full of connection, compassion, and community! 💙✨

At Always Caring, caring goes beyond the home. It's about showing up for our community! 🏡💙

Case managers are healthcare professionals who serve as patient advocates, supporting, guiding, and coordinating care for patients, families, and caregivers as they navigate their health and wellness journeys. They serve as the center of communication, connecting individuals/caregivers with members of the healthcare team and community to impact acute and chronic disease management and improve population health.

So, let's recognize the invaluable work of case managers and those that support the case management community in improving health outcomes!

The Home Care Association of America (HCAOA) announced their five finalists and 16 seminfinalists for the 2026 Caregiver of the Year Award, including two of our very own Caregivers for the Northern Tier Region, Alisha Broenneke from Lewiston, ID, and Jeremiah Gilfoy from Silverdale, WA.

Today, we want to highlight Caregiver Alisha Broenneke!

Alisha’s impact on her clients and their families is unmatched. Her most recent client suffers from dementia, and the client knows that when Alisha is there, she is safe, and everything is going to be okay. Alisha helps her client with baking cookies as it’s always been a passion for her. The joy she brings to her current client has brought vitality to one who was once afraid of going out of her own home. She regularly goes places with Alisha, exploring the world and visiting the office to share the freshly baked cookies. She is a fierce champion and protector if she feels her client’s needs are not being properly met.

Her compassion for her clients is evident in the way she cares for them, protects them, and champions them. And her respect for them goes beyond the basic respect of a caregiver for her client – she sympathizes with them, allows them to be who they are, to live their lives in a way that makes them feel safe, comfortable and, of course, happy in their own home.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day is celebrated to honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples while promoting a more accurate understanding of American history. It also recognizes the resilience of Native communities who have endured centuries of colonization, displacement, and forced assimilation.

The meaning goes beyond a single holiday. It encourages a more accurate understanding of Native American history, including both the harms caused by European colonization and the ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities. Part of why we celebrate is visibility and recognition. Native histories and perspectives have often been overlooked or misrepresented, and the observance creates space for Indigenous communities to be acknowledged on their own terms.

The theme for 2026 is Pain Management: An Essential Part of Palliative Care. The theme was chosen to re-emphasize the holistic treatment of pain in palliative care (physical, psychological, social, spiritual). The interaction among total pain components is often complex, yet evident in patients with serious illnesses.

Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients (adults and children) and their families who are facing the problems associated with life-threatening illness.

During October we support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. But when breast cancer is detected in the earliest stages, the five-year relative survival rate is 99%. That means women, including those who identify as women, men, non-binary, or transwomen, must take action to care for their health through regular exams, screenings, and mammograms. This week, help us spread the word about the importance of early detection with the women in your life.

We would like to take the opportunity to introduce Daniel Swade, our new Vice President of Growth, Marketing, and Segment Development. Daniel has spent his career helping healthcare organizations turn strategic priorities into actionable growth plans that drive measurable results.

Most recently, Daniel served as Director of Provider Affiliations and Business Development at Novant Health, where he led provider network expansion, managed a pipeline of more than 60 opportunities, completed five provider group affiliations, and led a team of six physician liaisons. Prior to Novant, he held strategy and transformation leadership roles with Stony Brook Medicine, Tenet Health, and Atrium Health, where he developed market and service-line growth strategies, evaluated strategic partnerships, supported new program launches, and partnered closely with senior executives, operational leaders, and clinical teams.

In his new role, Daniel will lead our line of business growth strategy and help determine where we grow, how we win, and how we scale across our Medicaid, VA, IDD, Private Pay, and Consumer-Directed service lines. His success will depend on strong collaboration across our organization, and I encourage open communication, early partnership, and a shared commitment to aligning growth opportunities with our ability to execute and deliver exceptional results.

Daniel holds a Master of Public Health, is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a certified Level I Lean Leader. Dan and his wife, Kasey, live in Huntersville, NC, with their three children. When he's not focused on growth strategy and healthcare innovation, you'll likely find him enjoying the outdoors, working out, or traveling with his family.

Please join us in welcoming Dan to the team! His experience, strategic perspective, and collaborative approach will be valuable assets as we continue to grow and expand our impact.
