Immerse yourself in healing touch, loving energy, sound and supported restorative yoga postures in this collaboration between ieva and Gerry Holmes. We will begin with Touch assists to melt tension and invite in positive energy. Slip into deep relaxation while ieva guides a heart expanding yoga nidra meditation. In this more receptive state, allow yourself to be supported in yoga poses as Gerry plays his handmade flute
The love flute, or Native American six holed flute has traditionally been used as a courting flute, played outside of the lodge of a lover. The flute however did not stop after marriage, it has been played by countless individuals at various moments of life to enchant, inspire and nourish the human spirit. Its sounds are of the wind, the water, the mountains and the spirits of nature. If listened to with closed eyes on early mornings as the sun rises, one may feel the power of this incredible instrument as it channels the unseen into the physical. Let us nourish you

This therapeutic workshop is open to all levels of practitioners. Through breathe work and guided relaxation we will regulate the nervous system, allowing messages of contraction to release and new neuro patterns to form. Free yourself from tension.
Gentle movement and somatic exercises will help create mobility in the hips, and lumber spine while the supporting muscles are gently strengthened and stretched. The experience will conclude with a deep yoga nidra meditation in a supported restorative pose.

We will target low back tension with special attention to creating space around the sciatic nerve and tight hip flexors, especially the psoas muscle. The psoas is responsible for lifting your thighs when you walk, cycle, swim, and sit. It has an intricate relationship with the diaphragm, which can affect our breathing and create low back tension. Sometimes it is referred to as the "stress muscle." According to Eckhardt Tolle "The psoas is the main muscle involved in the “fight or flight” response of the body. When you’re startled, your psoas contracts; when you experience mental or emotional stress, the psoas will respond by tightening."

Take some time to give some love to your low back. Join us for this deeply relaxing experience that will leave you breathing deeper, feeling more spacious and rejuvenated.
