People seem to think that because I chose to pursue the path of Tibetan Astrology and Cosmology that I don’t know anything about Western Astrology. Let’s put that to rest right now as people keep talking to me about western Astrology as if I have just alighted from the special bus.
Here’s a concept AI and 23 year old psychics are most likely not going to tell you about your Western Astrology. Theoretically, if the system worked the way they say it did, you aren’t what your birth chart says you are. So, stop telling people you have Mars in Scorpio or stuff like that. Your birth chart shows how the planets were aligned when you were born. But you are now some combination of your progressed cart and what aspects that makes to your birth chart. WE CHANGE. A concept that people seem to be very uncomfortable with now. But it’s a concept that all the ancient religions taught. Our personalities are not carved in stone like these modern astrologers seem to be sermonizing like street corner preachers.
Here’s an example: maybe you did have Mars in Scorpio when you were born and so you thought you were some kind of badass. Maybe even as a kid you were some kind of badass. And maybe you were into all sorts of spooky junk too. And you defined that as cool because you also watched The Craft 50 times when you were 13 and it gave you such a neurochemical rush that you said to yourself: “This is what I am! I am a badass like the character in this movie. I even have Mars in Scorpio like my phone app told me!”
But let’s say that somewhere along the way something passed through your second house for a while that put a big emphasis on money for you. This is where Geometry comes in. The Greeks loved Geometry and Math so if you say you’re a Western Astrologer, but you don’t study math and geometry you’re fooling yourself about something. And if you don’t understand geometry or the angles or the kind of resonance those angles produce then you might get lost here. So, pay attention and open your mind to the fact that there is so much more to learn about yourself that this stuff hasn’t even begun to show you. (This should excite you, by the way.)
Now, let’s say in the progressed chart three planets including the sun line up geometrically in your second house (that 30 particular degree arc of the 360 degree circle that makes up your horoscope) in opposition to that birth Mars in Scorpio. That’s what they call, in theory, a negative or hard aspect. That’s 180. In digital math that’s 9. Rodin math, Philomath, Keeley and Tesla talk about 3, 6 and 9 a lot. I don’t claim to know everything there is to know about that, but I do know from Philomath this is a pattern. Here’s the upshot:
The frequency from those planetary energies and that geometric relationship might, theoretically, affect you so deeply that you change your values. You might now start to define yourself by money. You might bow down to it, worship it and invest all your time and energy into it. That change in values could completely change the direction of your life.
Now, maybe you keep walking around telling people you’re this occult bad ass when really, you’re a paralegal who assists in trusts and estate planning who never goes outside his or her comfort zone because you’re worried about losing your money. And any risk you were once comfortable taking has been replaced by a love of money that you chose during that transit and those aspects between your progressed chart and the birth chart. Your birth chart isn’t what you are. It’s what you were. So, maybe it's time to stop fooling yourself into thinking you are immune to change.
Now, what does any of this do to teach us why we came here or what we are supposed to be? It really doesn’t. It just says you thought you were a badass once and now you value money above all else; so, now you suck. Not very helpful. On top of this: the current planet’s rotation wobble and position in the sky are way out of control because we are in an asteroid field. That means the geometry from transits is messed up; so, good luck getting an accurate read on the angles.
This is why I chose to pursue Tibetan Astrology. Because it shows what we were born to become. What lessons we must learn. How our worlds are oriented and how our sense desires plug into it. What we will be in the next life if we don’t learn those lessons. And it shows every conceivable pattern in our lives from past life habits to spiritual development to romance to potential health disasters to décor preference. It shows how a person is likely to behave every two hours, every day, every month and every year. I see people talking about a bad day they had and I know why. Not only that but Tibetan Astrology descriptions are clean and accurate and show what our world will become based on our choices. It also shows how to change our world back to what we were supposed to become.
So, let’s put to rest the idea that I just don’t understand Western Astrology... And if you want to really understand who you are and why you came here then let’s talk using a science that is 184k years old.
