At a.c.e. therapies, we see something powerful every day: the skills we build in childhood are the same skills we strengthen in adulthood — just practiced in new, meaningful ways.

Whether it’s two kids sharing blocks or two adults working together on a puzzle, the core abilities being developed don’t change. What changes is the purpose and the context.

Sidney didn’t just support our adult services—she help build the foundation that now carries dozens of learners forward. Her vision, her heart, and her belief in lifespan care shaped our Adult Learning Center into what it is today. She poured her heart into building adult services that honor dignity, independence, and meaningful skills. She watched this program grow from an idea into a destination and she shaped every step with intention, compassion, and clinical excellence.

Some people leave a mark. Sidney built an era.
This week, after six years of dedication, we say “see you soon” to our BCBA, Sidney  and we’ll be celebrating her era all week.
She helped shape our team, our kids, our culture, and our mission. She showed up in the good, the messy, and the uncertain, and made a.c.e. stronger every step of the way. We’re proud of the clinician she has become and grateful for the legacy she leaves behind. Thank you for making this place what it is, now it’s time to bring your heart and skills home to South Dakota.

Our pediatrics program and Adult Learning Center stepped outside to practice one of the most important community‑ready routines: safe, confident walking. Same mission — different skills.

Our Pediatrics Learners focused on early safety habits: staying with the group, listening and responding to “stop/wait/look,” “walk with me” , noticing curbs and cars, and using regulation strategies to keep their bodies calm and ready.

Our Adult Learners took those foundations into real‑world application: planning routes, navigating parking lots, scanning for moving cars, staying with the group, communicating needs (“slow down,” “lets go a different way” ), and responding to safety directions.
No matter the age, every step teaches safety and meaningful skills.

Some feedback remind us exactly why we do this work. Grateful for the culture we’re building, the systems that support our teams, and the staff who show up and make a difference every day for our learners.

Thank you, Molly, for the heart, the work, and the impact you bring to our Adult Learning Center in Downer’s Grove.

Six years of Sidney -what would a.c.e. therapies be without you.

From RBT, to BCBA, to Clinic Director… you’ve grown into every role with humility, curiosity, and a learner‑first mindset that sets the standard for all of us.

You helped open three locations, shaped countless clinicians, and built spaces where our learners and teams thrive. Your leadership is thoughtful and rooted in heart. We are endlessly proud of the professional you’ve become and the impact you make every single day.

a.c.e. is better because of you.
And we couldn’t be more honored to celebrate this milestone.
