Grammy-award-winning artist Charlie Puth has been very open recently about his own sensory challenges. He has openly discussed living with hyperacusis, a condition causing extreme sensitivity to sound. He has described his sensory experience as hearing noises at 200% intensity. Everyday sounds, which most people process as normal, can cause him physical sickness and severe sensory overload.
