PCOS Awareness Month 🤝 PMOS Awareness Month

Each September marks PCOS Awareness Month, which brings attention to this disorder that affects 1 in 10 women and is a common cause of infertility. But perhaps no PCOS Awareness Month has been as important as this year's. In May, this diagnosis was been given a new-and-improved name to better reflect its scope: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS).

Our very own, Dr. Laurence Jacobs, wrote this helpful blog post about why the name was changed, what this means if you have PMOS or suspect you might and different treatment options.
