ThrowbackThursday to 1964!

Third-generation owners Harold and Helen Kester attended the N.A.R.D. (now National Community Pharmacists Association) drug store convention in Chicago, where they met Miss Universe 1964 at the American Greetings booth!

More than 60 years later, Oswald's still attends pharmacy conventions every year, keeping up with what's new while carrying on a family tradition that now spans six generations.

Harold's great-grandson, and Oswald's current sixth-generation owner Alex unfortunately hasn't had the chance to meet a Miss Universe. Apparently some traditions are harder to continue than others.
