August 4th is National Night Out! National Night Out is a nationwide initiative designed to strengthen police-community partnerships, promote neighborhood spirit, and enhance public safety awareness. The annual event provides an opportunity for community members to connect with local law enforcement in a fun, family-friendly environment.

Naperville’s National Night Out Kick-Off will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3, outside the Fry Family YMCA, 2120 95th St, Naperville, IL 60564.

Naperville Safety Town Ride through Safety Town FREE! Bring your own bike or borrow one of ours! August 4th, 2026, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Every child will receive a bike reflector and safety whistle while supplies last!
It's a fun, free evening for the whole family to celebrate National Night Out with us.

Plainfield IL Police Department invites residents and visitors to attend Plainfield's National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Settlers Park, located behind Plainfield Village Hall.

Every weekend, now till September The Morton Arboretum will host the Vivid creations art workshop!

This summer, children and families can create their own works of art inspired by the large-scale sculptures in the Arboretum’s current exhibition, Vivid Creatures.

Materials and art mediums will change monthly, drawing inspiration from different sculptures in the exhibition—from the wide, feathery wings of Cadence, the sandhill crane, to the shimmering, colorful shell of Spectra, the brittle button snail.

📍The Vivid Creations Art Workshop will take place in the Children’s Garden on the Arboretum’s East Side.
