If you or your child are seeing a need for more support or accommodations, we can help! We are highlighting our Tailwinds testing team - or *Triple T,* as they're affectionately known around the office.

Good ol' Triple Toffers a huge breadth of testing services to our clients, including assessments for: ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, giftedness, and psychiatric concerns like depression, anxiety, PTSD,
OCD, personality disorders, etc.
Presurgical evaluations for bariatric surgery and pain management procedures. Dr. John Harrow, Dr. Kyshema Jefferson, and Dr. Erica Long make your testing experience seamless and straightforward.

Here's what you can expect:
• At your intake session, you can share about your concerns, make a personalized evaluation plan, and also receive a transparent estimate of the cost of the recommended assessments. If you're a teacher or first responder paying out of pocket, you may be eligible for a $500 comprehensive assessment through our Local Heroes Program!

• Within 1-2 weeks, your scheduled testing session will last about two hours in our Naperville office. It will involve nothing but the gold standard for testing protocols for your identified areas of concern.

• Within another 1-2 weeks, your (virtual or in-person) feedback session will deliver your results and give you an opportunity to ask any questions and learn about recommendations. We make sure you feel confident about the next steps, whether it's mental health treatment, an EP, or other accommodations. We have intakes available immediately and are ready to see you and your child!

Excited to invite colleagues in the mental health community to join us at Tailwinds Psych on October 29th for a little fall networking, good conversation, and a chance to check out our newly-expanded office space.

We're hosting alongside our dear friends and partners at Snow Lake Counseling and Hopemark Health, and I'm especially looking forward to bringing together people from across the local behavioral health community. One of my favorite parts of building Tailwinds has been getting to know the clinicians, practices, and organizations doing phenomenal work around us and finding more ways for all of us to collaborate and connect clients with the right resources.

Whether you're a mental health professional interested in expanding your referral network, part of a local organization curious about how our services might complement one another, or simply get excited whenever Zac Franzoni is providing the food, we'd love to see you.

World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to meaningfully engage with people with lived experience (PWLE) of mental health conditions and to recognize their knowledge as a vital form of expertise. Lived experience is what someone has experienced themselves, especially when it gives the individual knowledge or understanding that people who have only heard or learnt about such experiences do not have. Too often, PWLE are asked to share their stories but excluded from decisions. Meaningful engagement extends beyond simply being heard.

At Tailwinds we create opportunities for people to influence decisions, co-design services, strengthen peer-led approaches, challenge stigma and strengthen accountability. When PWLE are meaningfully engaged, mental health systems are likely to become more person-centred, rights-based and responsive to people's needs and concerns.

Jennifer se dedica a ayudar a niños y adolescentes a enfrentar desafíos de conducta y dificultades relacionadas con la neurodivergencia. Su experiencia como psicóloga escolar en Puerto Rico le brinda una perspectiva única para conectar el apoyo terapéutico con el entorno académico. También es una talentosa terapeuta de juego y cuenta con experiencia apoyando a inmigrantes de segunda generación y ofreciendo orientación vocacional.

Gabriela es una dedicada consejera especializada en trauma, incluyendo el trabajo con sobrevivientes de violencia doméstica. Tiene amplia experiencia apoyando a clientes hispanos de primera y segunda generación que entrentan traumas generacionales y culturalmente arraigados. También ofrece apoyo en funciones ejecutivas.
