Where your attention goes, prana (energy) flows. Where are you putting your energy? Your precious life force energy? If it’s not towards the things that light you up, then what are you even doing? I’m asking this to ask myself, doing my best to do so without judgement. That’s the hardest part.

When I’m really exhausted in the evening the one thing that can motivate me to action is asking myself:

🥗Prepare my lunch
👗Choose an outfit

My morning goes so much smoother, I am able to prep for my day without stress and this makes a huge difference in setting the tone for the day which affects me, yes, but also has a ripple effect on everyone around me.

It’s because we are looking in the wrong direction. Our focus is most likely on what’s “wrong”, what we don’t have, the “problem”.

You can’t connect to, align with what you want from that space, what you already are.

➡️But all it takes is a shift in perspective.
Doesn’t mean your whole situation will change over night.
But when you shift your perspective, your reaction to your circumstances can change, so your experience will change, your energy will change, and slowly you’ll see your outer world catch up to the change.

➡️If you’re having trouble being motivated or inspired when you come home from work read on…

Sometimes it feels like we have only two choices
1. I can follow my low mood and brain and grab a snack, sit on the couch, distract and ingest. (This may be exactly what you need in a given moment so it’s not inherently bad. But if you’re noticing it isn’t serving you, doesn’t feel good then you may want to keep reading).
2. Or I can force myself to go exercise or work on a project against my will or call a friend or any other action you aren’t joyfully entering into.

May I suggest a 3rd option?

DO NOTHING

Literally or Actually (whatever word you’re supposed to use in this case) DO NOTHING

1️⃣Have a seat
2️⃣Set a timer for a few minutes
3️⃣Close your eyes
4️⃣Just BE

Don’t move
Don’t think (with any attachment. Thoughts will happen)

JUST BE

I promise that afterwards you will be in a much better position to CHOOSE how you want to move forward from a connected place instead of reacting or forcing.

💚YOU’RE JUST ONE MOMENT AWAY💚

CONFESSION: I haven’t been feeling great lately. I have been very attached to certain circumstances and not experiencing them is driving me a little nuts.

There’s doubts, fears, downward spirals, tears, you name it

And the momentum is swung in that direction. It’s ok, I’m human.

But I had an experience the other day that made me laugh and laugh🤣🤣🤣, I don’t even know why it was so funny but I was transported from doom and gloom to
✨Joy
✨Fun
✨Hope
And I realized those earlier feelings weren’t my end all reality. That’s just what I was experiencing in that moment and it wasn’t going to last forever. It never does.

You are only ever just one moment away from experiencing something totally different.

Your job is to
trust that it will come and
to allow it once it does

It will inevitably come, it has to,
like your breathe coming in and out,
like the waves that go out and in,
like the weather that changes,
like Lady Gaga’s hair color😂
Your thoughts, your emotions, they will change. So trusting that moment will come is not hard.

It’s allowing it once it does come. It’s letting yourself recognize that moment, milking it,
giving as much attention to it as you normally give to the negative thoughts and emotions and seeing where that leads.

YOU DON’T NEED COPING SKILLS

YOU NEED THIS⬇️⬇️⬇️

I can teach you all the coping tools in the world but I can’t implement them for you, I can’t integrate them into your system or your routines and it doesn’t do you any good to know about them but not use them.

And this isn’t a lecture about “doing the work”

But it’s why I use Heart Talk (a solution focused approach to coaching) in my work as well
Because ultimately,
Changing your life,
it’s up to YOU
and you will know what’s best for you at any given moment when you
💚Connect with the essence of what you truly want
💚Align with the version of yourself that inspires you
💚Remember your inner power and strengths and abilities
