🐱No wonder she was having some tummy troubles!

This tapeworm came out of a 9-pound cat—and yes, it really was that long! 😳

Fortunately, she was treated appropriately and is expected to be just fine. Parasites can sometimes cause gastrointestinal problems and may go unnoticed, which is why routine parasite prevention and f***l testing are so important.

One little cat… one VERY big tapeworm! 🪱

Gus Gus is looking mighty cute in his “No Flap Ear Wrap!” ❤️‍🩹🐾

But he’s not just wearing it for fashion! His ear wrap helps keep him comfortable and protects his ear while it heals.

Sometimes the little things make a big difference when it comes to patient care and comfort. ❤️

We think he wears it pretty well, too! 🥰

Looking cool in his protective laser goggles, Randall is receiving his weekly laser treatment to help manage his lower back condition.

Therapeutic laser treatment is a non-invasive, drug-free option that helps reduce inflammation, ease discomfort, and promote healing by stimulating blood flow and tissue repair. Many pets with arthritis, back pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions experience improved comfort and mobility with regular treatments.

Way to go, Randall—we’re so proud of you for being such a great patient! ❤️

We are so pleased to share that Sidney has found his new forever home! After his mom passed away, we had the privilege of taking over his care and helping him through this transition. We are thrilled that Sidney now has a loving new family. Wishing this sweet boy and his new family many happy days and wonderful moments together! ❤️🐾

Continuing Education = Better Care for Our Patients! 🩺🐶

Drs. Carver and Narducci are all smiles in Pittsburgh while attending the annual Theriogenology Conference! This week, they completed training in the Respiratory Function Grading Scheme (RFGS), a new evaluation program now offered through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA).

The RFGS is based on research developed by the University of Cambridge in partnership with The Kennel Club (UK). For the past decade, The Kennel Club has used this screening program to help identify brachycephalic (short-nosed) dogs with better respiratory function, contributing to improved breeding practices and a reduction in breathing-related issues across several breeds.

We’re proud to bring this advanced knowledge back to our practice as we continue to provide the highest level of care for our patients. Congratulations to Dr. Carver and Dr. Narducci on adding another valuable skill to their expertise!

🐾 Learning never stops when it comes to helping pets breathe easier. 💙
