“Space verification guide” ?
🔹 Yes, when planning for veneers on and natural unmodified teeth, we must be conservative as possible;
🔸 A reduction guide can be planned and printed off of an approved Mock up to make sure:
- patients approval of esthetics;
- enough space is provided to the ceramist;
🔹 on the Pre-op photos we can see a chronic gingival inflammation around around 10, a dark crown on 11, crowns on 7 and 10 which are in reality 6 and 11 after canine substitutions early on that needed to be re-made, and centrals and premolars that needed minimally invasive veneers to improve malposition, shape and size;
🔸 At the bottom photos we can see the immediate provisionals and ready for final@impressions;

🔹 Using more digital and less analog protocols with the hopes of being more precise, more efficient , and more progressive;
🔸 Don’t judge me yet, but from photogrammetry on day or surgery to scan bodies is a bold move, but I’m trying to make a point if anyone with a regular scan can be effective and efficient to carry out a hybrid protocol at a lesser cost;

▪️ Yes, since not changes in OVD was found and posterior kept the vertical, the anterior segment continue to erode and passively erupting;
▪️ Increasing the OVD, no recommended, would not get you the space enough to restore function and esthetics. Instead it is an Ortho case or a Surhical case;
▪️ In this case, after providing all information and diagnosis to patient, it is the patient the ultimate decision maker;
▪️ Functional and Esthetic crown lengthening was achieved to restore the anterior segment including premolars;
▪️ A layered zirconia crowns and veneers (swipe and see the preps) were chosen due to its strength but also to hide the darker substrate on these teeth;

🔹 In regard to Our laboratory communication with ceramist, the first communication starts with the primary intention in our lab script and data acquisition of teeth provided to them. Then there will be a follow up with initial design discussion, modification and approval;
🔹The more we work together , the easier should get to obtain the intended results. If that is not the case, move on 💪🏻

“It is not about being rushed, but about doing it right” ??
💭 We, as professionals, need to stand our ground and follow our diagnosis;
💭 Diagnosis will tell us what is the right treatment , and even though patients are ok with a compromise results, we shouldn’t !;
💭 Top photo depicts a roller coaster 🎢 occlusal articulation that it must be corrected before any esthetic treatment. Securing a correct function will guarantee a longer survival of treatment being done;
💭 So, even though we must always listed to the chief complaint, we most see a bigger pictures and long into the future before approaching our patients with the correct plan of actions. Education is important, but the way we educate is the key to a successful treatment acceptance;
💭 Bottom photo features a corrected mandibular occlusal plane , a mutually protected occlusion, and a combination of Layered Zirconia crowns and Veneers. The beauty is just a side effect 😍
