Who Can Benefit & What to Expect – Part 2
✨ Regenerative therapies are designed for patients with critical limb ischemia or chronic wounds that haven’t responded to conventional care.
💡 They’re especially valuable when surgical or endovascular options are no longer possible.
🌱 Current evidence shows regenerative medicine can improve blood flow, reduce wound size, and in select cases, help prevent amputation.
⚠️ Results vary by patient — these treatments are part of a comprehensive care plan, not a standalone solution.
👩‍⚕️ At The Vascular Group of Naples, we’re leading the way in advanced vascular and regenerative care.

✨ When Surgery Isn’t Enough ✨
Part 1: Regenerative Therapies for Circulation Problems

What happens when vascular surgery can’t fully restore blood flow? For patients with severe arterial disease and non-healing wounds, science is opening new doors — cell & growth-factor therapies.

🔬 Cell Therapy
Stem-like cells from bone marrow or blood stimulate *angiogenesis* — the growth of new vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to damaged tissue.

🧬 Growth-Factor Therapy
Proteins signal the body to repair and rebuild circulation from the inside out.

These therapies reach where surgery cannot: the microscopic level. For those facing critical limb ischemia, advanced PAD, or chronic wounds, this may be the next step in care.

👉 Stay tuned for Part 2: Who qualifies & what the treatment process looks like.

✨ Recovery After a Hybrid Vascular Procedure — Part 2 ✨

Knowing what recovery looks like can make all the difference — for your peace of mind and your outcomes.

Here’s what to expect 👇

🏥 Hospital Stay
Most patients remain hospitalized for 2–4 days, depending on the procedure and overall health.

🏠 Early Home Recovery
The first 2–4 weeks focus on rest and slowly reintroducing activity — always under medical guidance.

🚶 Full Recovery
Most patients return to normal daily life between 4–8 weeks.

Throughout every stage, your vascular care team supports your healing with follow-up imaging and evaluations.

Hybrid procedures represent the most advanced level of vascular care today — precise, personalized solutions when standard approaches aren’t enough.

What Are Hybrid Vascular Procedures? | Part 1

When vascular disease is too complex for just one surgical approach, doctors turn to a *hybrid procedure* — combining open surgery + endovascular treatment in one.

This innovative approach is transforming outcomes for patients with advanced arterial disease.

🔍 In Part 1, The Vascular Group of Naples breaks down:
✅ What hybrid vascular procedures are
✅ How they work
✅ Why they’re used

A hybrid procedure combines:
✔️ Open surgery — direct repair of a blood vessel
✔️ Endovascular treatment — catheters & instruments guided inside the arteries

👉 Used when:
- Arterial disease affects multiple levels
- One technique alone can’t restore blood flow
- Open surgery is too risky, but endovascular isn’t enough

🎯 The goal: the most complete vascular repair possible — with less stress on the patient’s body.

🔔 Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll dive deeper into how these procedures are performed and who benefits most.

Baby Boomers Beware: More Americans Than Ever Before Now at Higher Risk for Common Blood Vessel Diseases

According to a new national survey released today by the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), nearly one in three Americans at the highest risk for developing blood vessel (vascular) diseases have not heard of any of the most common conditions, like peripheral artery disease and carotid artery disease. This comes at a time when by 2030 more than 100 million people in the U.S. will be reaching an age associated with a high risk of vascular diseases, meaning more people than ever before may require care from a specialist yet a critical gap exists.
