O-FREEEEEET. 😄
Some people get it on the first try.
Some need a second.
And some need a whole Kelly Drives segment.
A little throwback to our visit in May—and a reminder that we’ve all had a name we needed to hear one more time.
At Yoga@Play, we are always practicing.
We practice movement.
We practice courage.
We practice listening.
We practice kindness.
And yes…we practice saying one another’s names correctly.
Because a name is never just a small detail.
A name can carry family, culture, history, identity, and belonging. When we slow down, ask again, and make the effort to get it right, we are telling another soul:
I see you.
You matter.
You belong here.
There is no shame in saying, “Can you teach me how to pronounce your name one more time?” The important part is caring enough to keep practicing.
And for today’s practice: Ofrit. 💛
Is there a name you wish more people would take the time to learn? Teach us in the comments.
