After basically having never been as grown-ups, my husband and I went to Disneyland for the first time together in 2022 and quickly became full-blown Disney Adults™. 😜 (Cringe all you want, I love it!)

We've been roughly yearly since then to Disneyland or Disney World, and just got back from a great weekend in Orlando. We were stoked to get early access for the first time on this trip staying at the resort "sister property" (🧐??) the Dolphin.

Aaaand we had gambled with a Frontier flight since it was like a third of the price, and their maintenance goof resulted in getting to our hotel 4+ hours later and missing our only chance to enjoy the pools on property. We let ourselves be disappointed, then made a conscious choice to let it go quickly and not let it "ruin" our day or trip.

(pro tip, while we won't ever again - DM me for the WILD choice their flight attendant made - if you ever do, make sure to buy their flight insurance. We got a full & easy refund thanks to that.)

I digress.

It really is amazing how magical these places are, isn't it? The attention to detail, the storytelling that encompasses both the rides and their queues, their Cast Members trained extensively on how to be... well, the opposite of that Frontier staff member. 🤭

And the other LOVELY thing about staying close to the park this time was that we were able to break up the 90° humid AF days with long naps in our cold, dark hotel room. 🤗 Now that I've experienced that, I could never go back to the long days without a break! 🥵

About the choosing misery thing— there were times that I wanted to indulge in just how hot and uncomfortable I was (even WITH my fan & UV umbrella LOL), then realized... wait. I can be uncomfortable AND still remember how grateful I am to get to be here.

I witnessed some rough interactions between spouses, and let's just say stress and bickering do not disappear in the zone of magic. 😂 We also fell into it a couple times with the compounded discomfort, but quickly repaired and realigned.

Shoutout to my husband for killin' it with the strategizing and planning. And the willingness to chill out a LITTLE more next time on the optimizing. 😜

You have the good job. You pay the bills. You show up where it counts. But INSIDE? You're exhausted in a way that nobody around you can see.

Dr. Chanel Thomas thinks this is the problem with framing folks as "high functioning"— and these are the folks she often supports, to help them reach a place where the way they feel inside matches more how their life looks "on paper."

On the latest episode of But For Real, we're talking about an aspect of health that is often misunderstood and under-treated: pelvic health.

Dr. Jen (, founder of ) breaks down what the pelvic floor *actually* does, why we shouldn't treat common issues as things to just be tolerated, and why the help you didn't even know existed is very much out there.

If you've ever mapped out the bathrooms before entering a building 🤪 — this episode is for you.

Pelvic health is only STARTING to get some long overdue attention, but the conversation usually stays pretty surface level. In the latest episode of But For Real, we're covering what you need to know about a topic that's crucial for your overall well-being and longevity.

Dr. Jen Le Coguic is a pelvic floor physical therapist with 15 years of experience, and she's here to tell you that what you've been told to accept as normal probably isn't — and that help IS out there, even if none of your medical professionals have ever brought it up as an option before.

Hi! 👋I’m Clara, a therapist & coach at The Gaia Center who believes there is space for ALL emotions 👹🤪🫠

If you’ve ever felt like you’re “too much”— I’d encourage you to consider that the “excessive” anxiety, neediness, or anger you experience might actually be perfectly proportional to *your* unique experiences and brain chemistry.

I love collaborating with clients to explore their freedom and responsibility to learn how to meet the needs those emotions are highlighting, so that we can build a community that is more present in our bodies and relationships.

I work from an abolitionist praxis and passionately serve immigrants and children of immigrants, BIPOC, and q***r folks ages 18 and above.
I’m currently accepting clients *virtually* and would love to do a free consultation call with you ☎️

(PS - totally here to primal scream in session with you, too! 😱)

⭐️ To schedule a free consult or initial session with Clara, shoot us a DM, reach out on our contact page, or text us at 615.270.8117

Yeah, I did it. I succumbed to using the damn AI to make a graphic for this new thing I created, because I bought into my belief that I have no talent for visual art/drawing.

I'm not posting this to debate whether AI is evil. But I do know that, like it or not, we can't put the genie back in the bottle, and it's up to us to learn how to engage with it ethically. 🫠

So here's where I'm at—

Even if I DO choose to use AI selectively, I DON'T want to start outsourcing things to it just because it's faster, easier, "looks better", or... just because I can.

So here's a hand-drawn poster about the new thing.
Starts next Wednesday.
Nashville, I hope to see you there soon. 🤗

Happy birthday to our resident plant caretaker, podcast co-host, office stewardess, group wizard, and therapist extraordinaire, EMERSON!

Emerson is a walking paradox in the best way: just a gen z girl, *and* far wiser than her years. (witchcraft? past lives? savant syndrome? we're not sure but we'll take it.)

Thank you Emerson for bringing your whole self to all that you do! 🥳🥂
