It's Mental Health Awareness Month, and we're leveling up our healthcare social.

Our first two gatherings brought together professionals from across Middle Tennessee for real conversations, meaningful connections, and an end-of-week reset. We're doing it a third time, and this one might be our best yet.

🧠 One in five Americans is living with a mental illness right now. Fewer than half will receive care. (SAMHSA 2023: 57.8M adults; 47% receive treatment.)

We don't think about that as a statistic. We think about it as a failure of capacity - and a lot of that capacity problem starts with the people delivering care.

But here's what we've seen from the inside: it's not just a pipeline problem. It's an attrition problem. Clinicians are leaving - not because they chose the wrong career, but because the systems around them made caring unsustainable.

The culprits are familiar to anyone in behavioral health:

🚀 A quick update on what's coming from MindWise Health this year — and why we're more energized than ever.

We've shared a few hints over the past few weeks. Here's a clearer picture:

We currently have three AI-powered features in beta with select practices:
👂Ambient listening that captures session content automatically
👨‍⚕️AI-generated session summaries and diagnostic support
💭Treatment plan recommendations based on session and assessment data

All three are designed around the same principle: reduce the administrative burden on clinicians, so they can give more time to patients.

Our beta clients are the real partners in this work. Their feedback is shaping what these features become before broader release.

🏙️ Nashville has quietly become one of the most important cities in American healthcare. And most of the innovation is happening at the practice level, not the health system level.

That became very clear at our Healthcare Meet-and-Greet last month in Franklin. The room was full of behavioral health providers, addiction recovery specialists, and home health administrators — all solving hard problems, mostly without the resources or recognition they deserve.

One thing I took away: these professionals don't need more conferences. They need more honest conversations with peers who understand the day-to-day reality of the work.
