Celestis Leaving Earth to touch the cosmos is an experience few have ever known, but many have often dreamed of.

The pioneer and global leader in memorial spaceflights, Celestis offers families a unique way to honor loved ones by launching a symbolic portion of cremated remains or DNA into space - an unforgettable final journey among the stars! Celestis makes it possible to honor the dream and memory of your departed loved one by launching a symbolic portion of cremated remains into Earth orbit, onto the lun

ar surface or into deep space. Missions into space that return the cremated remains to Earth are also available.

Beyond Earth’s gravity lies a different kind of permanence.

When a spacecraft is placed into orbit around the Sun, it becomes part of something vast and enduring. No return trajectory. No atmospheric reentry. Only a silent path sustained by gravity, light, and time itself.

In space, eternity is not symbolic. It is structural. It is written into the mathematics of motion and measured across cosmic scales.

A legacy placed on such a trajectory is not simply remembered. It continues.

✨ If your story could travel on a path that outlives generations, what would that mean to you?

Endeavor Flight is one step closer to launch. 🚀

Last week, the Celestis team personally hand-carried the Endeavor Flight memorial payload to our service provider, Blackwing Space, in Nashville, Tennessee, where it successfully completed integration aboard the spacecraft.

Each memorial capsule was carefully prepared and placed within Blackwing Space’s Sparrow 1U XL nanosatellite platform, marking the culmination of months of engineering, coordination, and planning between our teams.

Currently targeted to launch no earlier than October 2026 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, Endeavor Flight will carry the symbolic remains of 28 Celestis participants into Earth orbit. The spacecraft is expected to circle Earth for up to 12 months before re-entering the atmosphere and vaporizing in a final celestial tribute.

We are honored to personally accompany these precious memorials through this important stage of their journey to space.

Ad Astra! ✨

One of the most meaningful conversations a family can have is often the one that never happens.

How do you want to be remembered? What reflects your life, your values, and the passions that shaped your journey?

When those wishes are shared, families are given a lasting gift: the confidence of knowing they are honoring a loved one exactly as intended.

For those inspired by the night sky, science, exploration, and discovery, memorial spaceflight offers a uniquely meaningful tribute: launching a symbolic portion of cremated remains or DNA on a real space mission beyond Earth. 🌎

Because every life tells a story. Some stories are written among the stars. ✨

Freedom has always inspired humanity to look beyond the horizon. ✨

This Independence Day, we honor the spirit of exploration that carried us from the first flights across the sky to journeys beyond Earth itself. It is a reminder that discovery, courage, and wonder are woven into the human story.

To dream beyond Earth is one of freedom’s greatest expressions.

Wishing you a meaningful and inspiring Fourth of July. 🇺🇸

Grief can narrow the world. It draws everything inward, making each moment feel heavier and closer than the last.

Space offers another perspective. Not to diminish sorrow, but to place it beside something vast and enduring. In that scale, awe begins to surface. Meaning widens. What once felt overwhelming is given room to breathe.

The universe does not ask us to let go of grief. It invites us to hold it differently, alongside wonder, perspective, and continuity.

In looking outward, we are reminded that love, memory, and legacy are not confined to Earth, or to a single moment in time. ✨

On June 21, 2013, the Celestis Centennial Memorial Spaceflight rose into the skies above Spaceport America, honoring both New Mexico’s centennial and the enduring spirit of exploration.

Launched aboard an UP Aerospace SpaceLoft XL rocket, the mission carried a remarkable group of participants, including Hatch, New Mexico Mayor Judd Nordyke, actress and dancer Candy Johnson and her sister Gayle Johns, and Maria Swan, Argentina’s first female airline pilot.

Alongside these personal tributes, the flight also carried student experiments supported by NASA’s Flight Opportunities Program, uniting remembrance with discovery.

More than a launch, the Centennial Flight reflected humanity’s shared desire to explore, remember, and reach beyond Earth.

Honoring Centennial Flight. A legacy carried skyward. ✨

In the quiet after launch, the meaning of a journey becomes clear. ✨

In this post-flight reflection, Reda Anderson shares her remembrance of Ralph White, a life shaped by discovery. His curiosity carried him across land, across sea, and ultimately, beyond Earth.

Through memorial spaceflight, that journey continues. A life not defined by an ending, but by a lasting spirit of exploration.

A legacy of discovery, now part of something greater.

In her remembrance, a wife reflects on the passions that defined her husband, his sense of wonder, his connection to the space, and his desire to be part of something greater.

When they discovered Celestis, she recognized a path that honored both his life and his vision.

In fulfilling his wish, she gave him a journey that reflects who he was. Not confined to Earth, but continuing beyond it, in quiet orbit among the stars.

For generations, Mars has represented humanity’s next great horizon.

Today, what once belonged only to imagination is steadily becoming reality. Around the world, space agencies and private aerospace pioneers are building the technologies that will carry humanity farther than ever before, toward the Red Planet itself.

At Celestis, we believe remembrance can be part of that journey.

The Mars300 mission reflects a future where legacy and exploration travel together, carrying a symbolic portion of cremated remains or preserved DNA aboard a real Mars-bound mission. A tribute not only to a life lived, but to humanity’s enduring desire to reach beyond every horizon.

For more than 30 years, Celestis has transformed visionary ideas into real space missions, honoring explorers, dreamers, and families through journeys beyond Earth.

Before humanity sets foot on Mars, remembrance may arrive there first. ✨
