Our Coordnator Rion was able to join this meaningful time with the U.S. Access board. It was even better to have some of our People First members present as well.
TN DD Network partners welcomed the U.S. Access Board for a statewide roundtable discussion focused on accessibility and the experiences of Tennesseans with disabilities. The meeting is part of the Board’s ongoing effort to engage communities across the country and gather perspectives that will help inform its work and future initiatives. Tennessee was selected as the site of the Board’s 2027 public town hall, which will be held in Nashville. The pre-visit today took place at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and brought together disability advocates, self-advocates, caregivers, service providers, community leaders, and representatives from organizations across the state.
