Andrea’s story with MHC is one that reflects the very best of this organization. She began her career here as a Care Manager nearly 20 years ago, growing through leadership roles and ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer. She knows MHC from the inside out — the consumers we serve, the associates who show up every day, and the mission that drives all of it.

On September 19th, we’re partnering with American Foundation for Su***de Prevention TN for the Nashville Out of the Darkness Community Walk at Centennial Park. This walk brings together individuals, families, and communities to raise awareness for su***de prevention and honor those we’ve lost.

Joining this walk is one more way we show up for our community.

To our Columbia team — thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it.

What MHC Columbia pulled off at our first ever Back to School Bash was nothing short of incredible. 1,000 community members served. 350 backpacks given away. Families from six counties walking away with school supplies, hot food, free services, and connections to resources that will carry them well beyond one Saturday afternoon.

Thank you to every MHC team member, sponsor, partner, and volunteer who gave their time and heart to make this day what it was.

Antioch went full Candyland — and it was the sweetest day.

Our Back to School Bash brought out 75 kids who left with backpacks full of school supplies and smiles to match. But what made this day truly special was the community that showed up alongside us.

A huge thank you to our partners:

The Branch of Nashville — who provided 20 emergency food boxes for families in need
Tennessee Justice for our Neighbors — for sharing resources and showing up for our community
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Nashville — for connecting families to additional support

Events like this are a reminder that caring for whole people means showing up for every part of their lives — including making sure their kids head back to school ready to learn.

We offer immediate, in-person psychiatric care for adults in Nashville — walk in anytime, day or night. No appointment. necessary.

You don't have to explain yourself to an ER nurse who's never seen a psychiatric crisis. You can walk straight through our doors and be seen by someone who gets it.

Cookeville's mid-year gathering traded the office for Fall Creek Falls State Park! Families came out, BBQ was served, yard games were played, and yes — some of us swam at the base of an actual waterfall.

The work our Cookeville team does every single day for the individuals and families they serve is no small thing. Taking time to celebrate that — and the people behind it — is part of what makes MHC a place worth showing up for.
