The Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians (TAOP) represents more than 600 optometric physicians, optometry students and paraoptometric assistants and technicians in nearly every county across the state. The association was founded in 1901 and maintains offices at 2727 Bransford Avenue, Nashville, TN 37204.

The Tennessee Eyecare Access Grant Optometry and Ophthalmology Loan Repayment Program offers up to $50,000 in loan repayment for eligible eye care professionals who commit to serving rural Tennessee communities.

By making a two-year commitment in one of Tennessee's 89 eligible rural counties, you can help expand access to essential eye care in communities where it's needed most while reducing your student loan debt.
