Across our Life;Story event locations, sponsors helped create spaces where we could walk, run, volunteer, share resources, honor loved ones, and feel the strength of a community moving in the same direction.

Their support helped make the details possible, including the event experience, the gathering spaces, and the moments that reminded people why every story deserves more ahead.

To every sponsor who supported Life;Story this year: thank you for helping make these events meaningful for the individuals, families, teams, volunteers, staff, and communities who joined us.

For participants in our A.R.T.C. program, creativity offers a way to experience recovery beyond words. 🎨

Our Quincy team recently hosted the second annual A.R.T.C. Showcase to celebrate the talent and achievements of participants from Adams County, Pike County, school programs, and Centerstone staff.

Participants use visual arts, photography, video, music, creative writing, and more to support their personal growth and recovery. These activities help individuals process life experiences, build resilience, and find healthy ways to navigate challenges.

We are proud to celebrate their work and the many ways creative expression can bring people together and support recovery.

We clap for the finish line. What about everything it took to get started?

During NAMI's Mental Illness Awareness Week, we’re taking time to notice the small wins that often go unnoticed and the chances for real connections that happen in our daily lives.

This year’s theme, "Building Community: Supporting Mental Well-being Together," reminds us how important connection is during hard times. Progress can be quiet. Even the small moments may require courage, persistence, and support.

Share a recent small win with us in the comments below. Your story might be just what someone else needs right now.

If there's a word for it, chances are many of us know the feeling.

A close friend drifts away.
A big life transition.
A serious illness changes a relationship.
The loss feels real, but the ending didn't feel clear.

There's a word for that: ambiguous loss.

Knowing others share the experience doesn't take away from how we feel, but it can help make us feel less lonely. We aren't meant to carry our emotions alone.

For the artists in our A.R.T.C. program, creativity offers a way to express the deeply personal experience of recovery.

Participants express what matters, what hurts, what’s still taking shape, or what they need to keep growing.

For more than 10 years, Mosaics Fine Art Festival in St. Charles, Missouri, has welcomed our program and given artists in recovery opportunities to exhibit their work.

We thank the festival for celebrating their creativity and supporting the recovery journeys behind it. Your generosity helps provide art supplies and equipment for our local programs, creating more opportunities for expression and discovery.

One number stands out: 92%

Out of 80,000 patients served at our Missouri Behavioral Health Crisis Centers, 92% got the help they needed without being diverted to an emergency department.

That means thousands of people found the support when they needed it most and got connected to the right care at a critical time.

Everyone should have access to caring and timely mental health support.

Some come to remember someone they lost. Others come to support someone they love, or to recognize their own mental health journey. We host Life;Story to give our community a place to honor those connections and speak up for su***de prevention. đź’™

The pressure to say the right thing can keep us from saying anything at all.

When someone we care about feels overwhelmed, support doesn't mean solving their problems. Providing an understanding, open ear and talking things through with them may be the first step.

If you're not sure where to start, our new series, "Can We Talk," offers real-life examples of supportive language you can use to navigate difficult moments with confidence and compassion.

We're curious: What do you need to hear when you are feeling overwhelmed?
