I don't want to sound like a jerk, but the reality is that I think a lot of us don't really understand what it means to try hard at something that we haven't done before or that we're not naturally good at. I had a big wake-up call today when I realized that a fellow coach had posted on Instagram ten times more frequently than I ever have!
I think the same can be true for any kind of health or fitness goal that you have in relation to the amount of time, effort, and energy that it takes. Before you say that "XYZ didn't work for me,"ask yourself the serious question of: did you actually try to the extent that it requires to get you the result that you are looking for?
If you stopped when it got hard or when progress seemed to stall, there is a good chance that you stopped right before you were about to have a breakthrough.
