Last night the Arthritis Foundation Tennessee awarded Laura Anne Grayson, our Wellness Supervisor, the Community Impact Award. Her work with fundraising, providing wellness programming to our seniors and advocacy has and continues to shaped the Nashville area. We are beyond proud of Laura Anne and her commitment to a cure for Arthritis. Way to go Laura Anne!

Blakeford and Belmont University have partnered together to create a mentorship program between residents & students. The goal is to create a bond between two generations that benefits both parties.
This week we hosted the kick off event and we had so much fun doing so!

The engagement was inspiring. Aging adults have so much to offer! Our residents are full of knowledge, advice and adventure & love the opportunity to create meaningful relationships.

Our IT Department recently led an informative Scams & Safety Class for our residents! 💻🔐

Residents learned how to recognize common scams, what to do if they encounter something suspicious, how to respond safely, and—most importantly—when to stop and ask for help. The session also included a helpful Q&A, giving residents the opportunity to ask questions and get answers to their real-life concerns.

We’re grateful to our IT team for helping our residents stay informed, confident, and smart when it comes to protecting themselves online! 🛡️

As we age, we don’t stop doing the things we loved, we just find new ways to do them!

We are so thankful for the talents shared with our Woodcrest residents and for the creative WellLife team. 🤠

The teachers at Turn Their Heads Country Dance believe dancing is for everyone. They just made appearance at Woodcrest at Blakeford. The senior living place did a Wild West Hoedown including a modified dance.

Did you know that Blakeford is a part of Novare? Novare is a growing consortium of forward-thinking, single site & small system senior livings organizations that come together to collaborate, innovate and enhance the world of senior living through shared next practices. Over the last couple of months many of our disciplines have had meetings to share best practices, solve industry issues and form professional relationships with those who know the roles best! Blakeford was proud to host the CEO meeting this year. A special thank you to Lenbrookk for hosting the Wellness & Life Enrichment collective and Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community for hosting the CFO collective.
