Elitism refers to the belief that certain groups of people are inherently superior or more deserving because of status, education, wealth, power, or social position.

A service being expensive may create accessibility concerns.

A profession requiring training may create barriers to entry.

A person having expertise may create differences in knowledge.

None of those things automatically equal elitism.

The exercise that I mentioned in the video is tracking how many times you ask yourself what do I need right now instead of what others need. And it’s worth mentioning that. I also want you to think about whether that question feels unfamiliar to you because I think that’s pertinent information. And the ultimate goal is for the number of times that you ask yourself what do I need right now to increase so that you’re checking in on you.
