It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Jeriesha Bushyhead.

Known to many as JB, her infectious smile was one to light up any room, whether she was physically there or virtually working from home while completing 6,436 tasks while being fully engulfed in the moment. She was efficient. She was fun. She was motivating. She was the MAGIC✨

This loss comes as a shock to our organization and we will be taking time to honor and support those grieving.
To support her family, you can donate using the link in our bio.

We are grateful for your compassion at this time 🧡

As we celebrate the holidays, we also honor the truth:
✨ Black maternal mental health deserves visibility, care, and compassion.

The joy of the season doesn’t cancel out the need for support.
Mental health challenges during pregnancy and postpartum are real—and Black mothers deserve care that listens and responds.

This Christmas, Homeland Heart Birth & Wellness is committed to holding space, spreading awareness, and advocating for healthier outcomes for Black families.

This Giving Tuesday, pour into Black mamas.
Into the ones holding life, holding community, holding on.
Your gift covers doula care, diapers, baby needs, mama needs
the village made real.
Give because Black mamas deserve softness, support, and rest.
Give because we keep us.
For every Black mama carrying more than the world can see
we show up.
Your Giving Tuesday donation fuels doula care, newborn essentials,
and the tender support every mama deserves.
A little love goes a long way in saving a life.
Give to Homeland Heart. Give to Black mamas.
