October Event Details Comen!

I am so excited that we get to do a ranger guided tour of Mace Bluff Trail with Harpeth River State Park!

This bluff overlooks one of the most significant archeological sites in Tennessee.

The Ranger was so excited to participate in taking out military hikers and waived the group fee to take us on an October adventure.

The park is even interested in partnering in the future for other veteran events and could also do a kayak event with us.

So stay tuned for October Event to be posted and I will also have more information at this months event at Cumberland River Bicentennial Trail.

Hi all,
Just a reminder we have a hike/walk event coming up Saturday September 12th at 930 at Cumberland River Bicentennial Trail.

Due to this trail being alittle longer than initially expected to get to the big bridge you can walk as far as you want or as little as you want. I will be walking for about an hour and then doing an about face coming back to an old railroad building that is about a mile from the entrance to have brown bag lunch. BYOL

This is just about getting out the door, enjoying other veterans company and letting nature be one of your healers.

I look forward to seeing you all there! 🌲 šŸƒ

Alaska Shenanigans
There’s something about getting outside that quiets the noise. For veterans, the trail can offer more than fresh air and a good view. It can create space to breathe, reconnect, and heal alongside people who understand the road behind you.

Sometimes healing starts by simply stepping outside the wire. 🄾🌲

Yesterday in 92 degree heat went to check out the trail for next month’s September 12th hike and it didn’t disappoint.

Although I was prepared to only do a 3 mile round trip when I got there I realized this Bicentennial Trail is actually an old railroad route from Ashland City to Clarksville and to get to the old Railroad bridge is actually 3.5 miles each way BUT was it worth it ABSOLUTELY!

Shade the whole way so 92 degrees actually wasnt that hot. Flat, paved & every single person I saw was friendly and nice and hints of Fall we’re slowly making there way into the trees.

Beautiful day.

It will be a great warm up to Octobers Warriors Hike in Nashville.
