✨ Acupuncture, Tuina & Traditional Chinese Medicine: Supporting Healing ✨

Did you know therapies like acupuncture and Tuina are being used in integrative cancer care?

Research published in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management highlights how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can help support people living with cancer by improving comfort and quality of life.

🌿 Reported benefits include:
β€’ Relief from pain
β€’ Reduced nausea & fatigue
β€’ Lower stress and anxiety
β€’ Better sleep and overall well-being

These therapies are not a replacement for medical treatment, but they can be powerful tools alongside conventional care, helping the body cope and recover more comfortably.

πŸ’‘ TCM focuses on restoring balance and supporting the body as a whole, not just treating symptoms.

Whether you're managing a chronic condition or simply looking to feel your best, holistic care can make a meaningful difference. 🌱

Dr. Xiaotian Shen has been my main go to clinical supervisor at the AOMA clinics North since starting my clinical training at AOMA. He has been with AOMA since 1999. He has helped train me in his specialties with pain management, neurological disorders, neuropathy, long haul covid recovery, digestive health, emotional/mental health, internal medicine, and allergies. I tried to get him to smile here, not much luck πŸ˜†. He has been an amazing clinic supervisor to me. Dr. Shen also worked as a medical doctor and doctor of traditional Chinese medicine in China and Israel before coming to AOMA here in Austin, Texas. He is now a good friend and colleague, thank you Dr.Shen for all you have taught me πŸ™πŸΌπŸ˜Š
