Nashville Fertility Center (NFC) is a state-of-the-art facility providing reproductive health care to residents of Tennessee and surrounding states. Our facility works closely with the Andrology, Endocrinology, and In Vitro Fertilization Laboratories of Ovation Fertility, Middle TN Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Reproductive Genetics at NFC to offer a wide variety of specialized testing and treatment for both male and female infertility. NFC has had over 3000 babies born through our IVF program

Fertility treatment including ovulation induction and IUI has resulted in success for so many others as well. In addition to infertility, we treat a wide range of reproductive endocrine disorders. Our exceptional staff strives to treat each patient as an individual and to create effective, compassionate working relationships. Weitzman, Dr. Abby C. Eblen, Dr. George A. Hill, Dr. Kristin Van Heertum and Dr. Meggie Smith are all Board-Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Together they have supervised thousands of IVF cycles. Our Center brings to you a wide range of fertility expertise, not only in surgery and IVF, but also in egg and s***m donation and ovulation induction with intrauterine insemination, IUI. In many instances our physicians work closely with reproductive urologists in diagnosing and treating male factor problems, and providing Microsurgical Epididymal S***m Aspiration (MESA) and Testicular S***m Aspiration (TESA) procedures.

Military life runs on orders, and they don't always wait until you're ready to think about family. A new Department of Defense pilot gives you a little more control over the timing.

If you're an eligible active-duty service member, the DoD will pay you back up to $10,000 a year for egg freezing or up to $500 a year for s***m freezing. Swipe to see if you qualify.

You don't have to use a military clinic, and you don't need TRICARE authorization. You can come to Nashville Fertility Center, and our team will help you figure out the reimbursement side.

Meet Heidi and Oakes, and the mom who turned her fertility journey into a way to help others. 💚

"After a year of trying without a single positive pregnancy test, we were referred to NFC and paired with Dr. Van Heertum and her nurse, Carly (a total rockstar).

After two IUI attempts didn't work, Dr. Van Heertum recommended IVF. She left no stone unturned trying to find our hurdle to conceiving, and I truly believe that's why our daughter is here.

Because of my low AMH, we didn't expect many eggs. We got 10 at our retrieval with Dr. Smith. After genetic testing, we had one genetically normal embryo. We transferred it with all the hope and fear in the world, and Heidi was born in August 2024.

This April, we welcomed our son, Oakes. He was a complete surprise, conceived without treatment. The first person I called? Not my OB. Carly. She and Dr. Van Heertum got us in right away and were once again the comfort and guidance we needed.

During infertility, I spent so much time piecing together information and support from different places. After Heidi was born, I created The Fertility Nest. It's a free resource and support platform with a peer-mentor matching program, so the next person can feel more informed, encouraged and less alone.

NFC didn't just become part of the story of how we got our daughter. It became part of the story that inspired me to help others, too."
