At The Grief Center, our therapists provide compassionate, grief/evidence-informed care for individuals, couples and families navigating grief, loss, and bereavement. Our team is trained in a variety of grief models and interventions, including Brainspotting, Gottman, Dual Process Model and more to meet each client’s unique needs.

What makes The Grief Center unique is that our work extends beyond the therapy room. In addition to individual counseling, we provide educational presentations, Lunch & Learns, support groups, professional training, consulting, and grief-focused media through The GRip. Our mission is to improve grief literacy while supporting individuals, families, organizations, and communities.

👏🏾Thirteen people showed up today for our free 30-minute webinar, “Understanding Grief: What Every Therapist Should Know.”

As an educator, I left with an unexpected lesson of my own.

I wondered if 30 minutes would be enough. Instead, people stayed for the entire presentation. When we opened the floor for questions, only two people had to leave. Eleven stayed to continue the conversation.

That has me thinking…

🍿Maybe, on a Friday afternoon, quick bites of grief education are exactly what people need. Sometimes a focused 30-minute learning experience is more accessible than asking busy professionals to sit through a much larger “meal” of information.

Grief is complex, but learning about it doesn’t always have to be overwhelming.

Thank you to everyone who invested your lunch hour with me. Your thoughtful questions reminded me why I love teaching clinicians and helping professionals.
