It’s Monday, do the least. Love you 💛

M O N D A Y - used to be the worst for me. Sundays were depressing, knowing it was over and work started hard the next day.

REST & DIGEST
Finding the least amount of to-dos on Monday is key. Even if that means Monday at the office, and then home…take care of kids/fam, AND then nothing else. No laundry, no extras, just time to relax and do the least. Then that means only 4 days left of the week to do the to-dos on top of work and fam etc.

A little reframe for all those who might be feeling pressure this weekend - a time to celebrate love, especially self love.

Honor everything that comes up, and find the gentle holding that you need. I love holding parts of me, checking in with what nourishment would bring comfort.

That can look like home, watching a movie, or being with friends, partner, family, bath, making dinner or baking, arranging flowers ❤️❤️❤️. Presence and resting in whatever brings your heart peace.

The song is a little nudge to Wuthering Heights film I went to see tonight with a friend🌹highly recommend ladies 😉😉

Just starting a new self love thing over here. It’s never easy, but if there’s a map, it becomes a little easier to guide myself right into bed.

Also finding what feels right for you is important, listening to your body and seeing if reading a book, journaling, or for me I like some white noise, even if it’s the background noise of Schitts Creek at the moment…

It’s not about perfection, it’s more about intention✨.

I witnessed a friend who had started to learn to play the guitar a year ago. It occurred to me, that I was witnessing something new, something they made up, and were engrossed with. I was witnessing their creativity, their authenticity, their happiness, and solace . This wasn’t just about them being witnessed, this felt like a new experience for me, to be completely present to witnessing, seeing, listening.

Just being, and letting those around us be, is where we can admire, smile, and be content without any words necessary. Witnessing is connecting to those parts of ourselves that can heal the wounds that something has to be a different way, or finding that something isn’t enough, when really everything is meant to be as it is. Being a light for them, can in turn be the light for ourselves.

Soul Connect:

1. Start to notice the belief systems and the noise of media, family systems, consumerism, what our friends think, and religious systems. (Anything that can influence you).
2. Get curious about these influences in your life. Why does it appeal to you? Would this benefit me? How does my inner child feel about this? Does this create harm in my negative self talk?
3. Practice checking in with your soul when impulsive feelings arise throughout the day.

With the space you allow to connect with your soul, the closer you are to your truth. purpose, and freedom of being authentically YOU.

This is a practice, a place of sacredness for your soul to just BE.
For you to BE the creator of your destiny in how WE get to show up and have a new experience.

When we put pen to paper, be it for pain or feeling lost, we can see the whole picture as we step back creating space and curiosity.

Today, let us take a moment to honor the brave souls who came before us who found it was their destiny to bring forth the day of Independence.

Let us honor our ancestral pain and sorrow by welcoming it, and letting it move through us, finding peace and a deeper understanding of where our feelings come from.

Today’s mantra: I separate my feelings from my ancestors feelings, I am a soul survivor on the path to healing generational trauma.

Create in the kitchen. If that’s cooking, baking, making a sandwich…mmmmm.

I have found taking time to slice an apple, make a snack, or just getting my hands into cookie dough, has brought me closer to connecting with my soul. Using intuitive connection through foods, I am able to nourish my body and soul, brining me more joy and mindfulness into that moment.

Giving others compassion can also help us find compassion for the different parts of ourselves: be it our wounded child or our adapted.

Letting my adult self give love to those parts is the caring and compassionate safety that is needed to heal from trauma.

Action:
Bring you hands filled with love to your heart to press firmly, breathing in, and out receiving the compassion.
