This week we lost three people who shaped so much of our culture—Dolly Parton, Wendell Berry, and Gloria Steinem. All in the same week. It felt less like coincidence and more like an insult.
I've spent the last decade learning what it actually means to grieve—not talk about it, not think about it, but move through it.
And this week I noticed something: grief doesn't just move through us, it moves through our personality. The way you process loss probably looks different than the way your partner or your best friend does.
I wrote a longer reflection on this; what grief looks like through each Enneagram type, and why knowing your pattern doesn't skip you past the hard parts, but might help you recognize your own detour when you're in it.
However you're grieving anything right now, big or small, you're allowed to feel it fully and still come back to the room. 💛
