I told him, โ€œIf God can part the red sea, he can put the ball through the hoop!โ€ Conversation with a collegiate basketball player whoโ€™ll turn pro soon about the greater purpose in life.

College sports arenโ€™t โ€œchildish,โ€ anymore than Sunday School. Men & Women who make it to the collegiate level are in the top 6% of Athletes overall. SO many are using their sport as a ministry. No one has access to men and women in sports than the guy catching pens or working on layups or practice serve receive. Theyโ€™re IN it with them.

At the end of the day, I believe God cares more about your process than the outcome. He cares that you show up, work hard and give it all youโ€™ve got. But whether you win this game or that, I genuinely donโ€™t think He cares that much.

He does, however, care how you treat others and if youโ€™re being the hands and feet of Jesus or just another ego on display with your own โ€œme-centricโ€ agenda.

If God has blessed you with Athletic ability, play as long as you can. Remember the parable of the talents and what happened to the one who buried hisโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Stop putting so much pressure on every shot, every game, when the creator Himself isnโ€™t worried.

When you keep your, โ€œYes!โ€ on the table, thereโ€™s no telling where it will lead. Iโ€™ve been praying about where to get plugged in musically. While I thought I had an idea, I guess God has other plans. No Iโ€™m NOT giving up my career with Athletes Iโ€™m so passionate about what I do! But there are other talents, gifting, callings on my life for a Kingdom purpose that I canโ€™t ignore, or avoid.

Back in Nashville after receiving a call from a producer to cut vocals for a new record. โ€œCan you still harmonize with a broken toilet?โ€ He laughedโ€ฆ I replied,
โ€œWhy yes, I can.โ€

He sent flight info and here we are!

Have three writing sessions and BGVs over the next few days. All because of a YES! - Iโ€™ve missed this.

Soon as my favorite neighbor/family/friend got home I invited myself over. Sure have missed you!

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’› Though I grew up here in Conway, we moved & I went to Dorman in Spartanburg. I was honored to be elected president of FCA my senior year but was SO excited to be โ€œhomeโ€ and get to see the vision for Courts for Christ come ALIVE at CHS! Truly blown away!! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
