๐Ÿ’™Welcome back to another week of ๐Ÿ’™

This week, we're introducing Cathy Roboski, OTR/L, C-MLD, one of the owners of Key Rehab! Cathy has been part of Key Rehab since Day 1 - March 1, 1999! ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿงฐ What therapy tool do you reach for first?
"Therapeutic use of selfโ€”always available, highly adaptable, and no batteries required." โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ’™ What is your favorite part about working at Key Rehab:
"The relationships we build. Key Rehab feels less like a workplace and more like a family."

โœˆ๏ธ Dream vacation?
The Holy Land. I would love the opportunity to walk where so much history and faith began and experience it for myself.

๐Ÿฆ† What does she enjoy outside of work?
My porch goose probably gets more outfit changes than I do! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I also enjoy puzzles, reading, camping, and spending time with my family.

We're so grateful for Cathy's leadership, dedication, and the relationships she's built with our patients, families, and team over the past 27 years. ๐Ÿ’™

And we're pretty sure her porch goose deserves a future feature of its own. Show us your in the comments!

We are kicking off our new series with one of the owners of Key Rehab, Maria! โค

๐Ÿ‘‹ Name and credentials: Maria Smilo, MS, CCC-SLP

๐Ÿฅ‡ Therapy tool you reach for the most: a box of toy people and animals ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿท๐Ÿธ๐Ÿฆ

โค Favorite part about being with Key Rehab: Every week I learn something new from my coworkers, my patients and/or their caregivers which is what has helped me grow as a Therapist over the past 35 years. ๐Ÿซถ

๐Ÿฆƒ Favorite holiday: Thanksgiving! You don't have to buy gifts. You get to cook, eat, and spend time with the people who mean the most to you.

๐Ÿ˜‹ Go-to snack and drink: My favorite drink is black coffee. โ˜• I have at least 3 cups of it every morning. Lately I like to snack on pumpkin seeds, walnuts, and almonds. But there are some days a girl just needs a bag of Ruffles. ๐Ÿ˜‚

We'd love for our families to get to know the amazing people who make Key Rehab feel like home. ๐Ÿ’™
โ˜• Coffee lovers, we have to know... how many cups get you through the morning?

๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Hannah, a Level II Occupational Therapy student from LSU Health Shreveport, on completing her summer fieldwork with us! ๐ŸŽ‰

During her time at Key Rehab, Hannah worked alongside our therapy team while expanding her clinical skills and making a meaningful contribution to our clinic. As part of her fieldwork project, she created a variety of tactile sensory dots to support sensory exploration and hands-on play for our patients. ๐Ÿ’™

We wish you the very best in your future career in Occupational Therapy!

Left behind? Never! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ
Different doesn't mean you can't explore, play, or enjoy life. It just means finding your own way of doing things.

Messy? Maybe a little. Worth it? Absolutely. ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ’™

Sensory play encourages children to explore, create, and learn in a hands-on way while supporting fine motor skills, attention, sensory processing, and imaginative play. That's why we love sensory bins!

The best part? You don't need fancy supplies to make one at home. Fill a bin with common household items like dried beans, rice, cotton balls, pasta, pom-poms, or shredded paper, then add scoops, cups, spoons, or small toys for endless opportunities to play and learn together. โœจ

โŒ Not "wait and see."
โœ… Just "check and see."

Did you know we partner with Early Intervention?

Through Early Intervention, many children from birth to 35 months can receive therapy servicesโ€”and other developmental supportsโ€”at little or no cost to their families.

With Early Intervention:

โŒ You don't need a diagnosis to make a referral.
โŒ You don't have to be certain there's a delay.
โœ… You just need a concern.

If you're wondering whether your child is meeting developmental milestones, it's okay to ask. An evaluation can provide answers and peace of mind.

๐Ÿ“ž To learn more or make a referral, contact:
Leah Graham, LSW with Early Intervention
662-231-8218.

Because early support doesn't just encourage progressโ€”it can make a lasting difference. โค๏ธ
