🌸 Sunday Encouragement from WRC 🌸

“The Lord will guide you always.” — Isaiah 58:11

What a beautiful reminder for the week ahead. We may not always know what the next day will bring, but we can trust the One who does.

At the Women’s Resource Center, we have the privilege of walking alongside women and families through pregnancy, motherhood and the first three years of a child’s life. Whether someone needs encouragement, education, practical resources or simply a caring person to listen, our doors are open.

This week, we invite you to:

❤️ Visit — If you are pregnant or parenting a child through age 3, call to learn how WRC can support you.

🌿 Volunteer — Give a few hours of your time and help us serve women and families in our community.

🙏 Pray — Pray for our clients, babies, staff and volunteers and for God to continue guiding the work of WRC.

And remember, although our center is located in Natchitoches, you do not have to live in Natchitoches to receive services at WRC.

💕 WRC in the Community!

Women’s Resource Center leaders were honored to participate in the Sabine Community Baby Shower, hosted by the Louisiana Department of Health Community Health Bureau of Regional and Clinical Operations.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with expecting moms and families, share information about WRC and introduce them to the support available from pregnancy through their child’s third birthday.

We were especially excited to schedule new clients during the event, helping moms take that first step toward connecting with WRC!

📍 While WRC is located in Natchitoches, our doors are open to women and families from throughout the region. You do not have to live in Natchitoches Parish to receive services at WRC.

WRC provides pregnancy services, limited OB ultrasounds, prenatal and parenting education, breastfeeding classes, mentoring and support, material assistance and community referrals — all at no cost and with no insurance required.

A special thank you to the organizers for inviting WRC to be part of an event focused on supporting healthier moms, babies and families throughout our region. 💗

📦 The Amazon packages just keep showing up… and we are feeling incredibly blessed! 💗

For two days in a row, packages have mysteriously appeared at WRC filled with items our moms and babies need. Diaper bags, baby wash, lotion, a daily devotional, clothing and so much more—each item will make its way directly into the hands of a family we have the privilege of serving.

🎒 Back to School Week is here! 📚✏️

We loved getting to see a couple of our Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway winners pick up their new backpacks! We’re wishing all of our students, teachers, school staff and families a wonderful start to the new school year. 💗

As the big kids head back to the classroom, we want to remind our community that the Women’s Resource Center continues to walk alongside moms and families with children through 36 months old.

And moms—if back-to-school means you suddenly have a few hours available during the week, we would love to have you join us! 💕

WRC has volunteer opportunities that can fit different schedules. You can commit to one 3-hour block each week or volunteer intermittently in our children’s boutique, helping us organize clothing and baby essentials and prepare items for the families we serve.

Your kids may be heading off to school, but there are plenty of little ones at WRC who could benefit from a few hours of your time. ❤️

Every life has value. Every mother deserves support. Every family deserves to know they do not have to walk the journey alone.

At the Women’s Resource Center, we have the privilege of walking alongside women and families from the earliest days of pregnancy through their child’s third birthday. Whether you need information, encouragement, education, practical resources or simply a caring place to begin, we are here for you.

🌸 Need WRC? Call us this week to schedule a visit, learn about upcoming classes or discover the resources available to you — all at no charge.

🌸 Want to serve? There is a place for you at WRC, too. Volunteers help us welcome clients, organize and stock the Little Rose Boutique, assist with special projects and events and extend the care of WRC throughout our community.

This Sunday, Psalm 139:14 reminds us why this work matters:

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

👜💕 A Diaper Bag Filled with More Than Supplies

When a mom becomes a client at the Women’s Resource Center, she receives a brand-new diaper bag — and that’s just the beginning!

Throughout her visits to WRC, she has opportunities to fill her diaper bag with items to help prepare for baby. From newborn necessities to practical supplies, these items are provided at no cost to her.

🌸 Have you recently been a WRC client?
Don’t forget about your diaper bag! Bags are held for three months after your due date. After that time, unclaimed bags and supplies are returned to our shelves so they can bless another mom.
