✅ Up to 20 acupuncture visits per year! MassHealth covers eligible acupuncture treatments, subject to program requirements.

✅ Have MassHealth / Medicaid as your only insurance? A P*P referral or doctor’s order for acupuncture is required before scheduling with our clinic.

✅ Have other health insurance? Many insurance plans may cover acupuncture. Contact us to verify your benefits and coverage requirements.

🩸 Blood sugar is influenced by much more than what we eat.

Stress, sleep, movement, hormones, insulin sensitivity, and the way our nervous system responds can all play a role in glucose regulation.

This is one reason we find the connection between metabolic health and Chinese Medicine so interesting. Acupuncture and individualized herbal medicine are being studied for their potential effects on stress regulation, insulin sensitivity, and glucose metabolism.

The research is still developing, but it offers an interesting perspective: sometimes supporting the body’s underlying systems may be just as important as focusing on a single number.
