Friendship Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Friendship Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Our greatest success is the ability to help patients recover and discharge back to home.

Friendship Manor is a 104-bed skilled nursing facility, focusing primarily on post hospitalization transitional care. Our greatest success is the ability to help patients recover and discharge back to home or to a lower level of care. We employ our own therapists and operate a large, fully contained therapy unit. Together, with our nursing staff, our goal is to help patients achieve their highest

level of functional independence. We are licensed by both the California State Department of Health and the Federal Government. As such, our staff provides 24 hour-a-day nursing care and supervision to our patients. These services include: assistance with activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, grooming, transfers, ambulation, etc.), feeding or assistance with meals, giving of medications, treatments, etc. The level of services provided to an individual patient can vary greatly depending on that patient's needs. Generations Healthcare began operations in January of 1998 with a single 89-bed skilled nursing facility. Since that time Generations has grown to 18 facilities comprising 1,900 beds. Of those 1,900 beds just over 500 are located throughout San Diego County. Nearly 900 beds are located in the Northern California Bay Area, and the balance are located in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. When Generations began business, it started with a very simple business strategy: focus on quality and service while remaining mindful of the challenges and changes facing older adults in today's world. Over the years, Generations has established an excellent reputation in the communities served by our facilities. Generations has built this reputation through a concerted focus on quality and service. Our Mission:
Generations Healthcare was founded upon the belief that caring for the sick, the elderly, and the infirm is a special and sacred stewardship. It is our mission to have this belief reflected in everything we do: in the presentation of our homes in the professionalism of our staff, and in the daily delivery of care to our residents and their families. It is our purpose that whoever enters a Generations Home will be met with kindness, competence and compassion. View a virtual tour of our facility here:

Behind every statistic are individuals, families, care teams, and communities navigating complex challenges and looking for the right level of care.

Behavioral health care can’t stop at crisis response alone. Individuals and families need structure, dignity, and care environments designed to support long-term stability.

At Generations Healthcare, our behavioral health programs are built to meet complex needs with compassion, consistency, and respect for the whole person.

August is National Wellness Month!

It’s a time to prioritize self-care, manage stress, and support physical, mental, and emotional health.

At Generations Healthcare, wellness shows up in everyday moments: movement, connection, routines, activities, and compassionate care that helps people feel supported.

What’s one small thing that helps you feel well?

A good day can start with something simple. ☀️

A favorite song. A sunny window. A visit from someone you love.

These everyday moments can help make the day feel brighter and more connected.

What’s one simple thing that makes your day better?

07/22/2026

It’s one of the biggest questions families face when a loved one’s care needs begin to change.

The answer is not always simple. Sometimes it means recovery. Sometimes it means daily support. Sometimes it means building new routines, gaining confidence, and finding a new sense of stability.

Wherever the journey begins, compassionate care can help make the next step feel a little clearer.

A little daylight can make a meaningful difference. ☀️

Research published in Nature Mental Health found that, in a study of nearly 87,000 adults, higher daytime light exposure was associated with a 20% lower risk of depression.

It’s a simple reminder that safe time outdoors, fresh air, and natural light can play a role in supporting mental and behavioral well-being.

Care needs can change over time. 💙

The CDC reports that three in four U.S. adults have at least one chronic condition, and more than half have two or more.

For many people, managing health isn't about one single need. It can involve recovery, daily support, changing routines, and the confidence to take the next step.

That's why compassionate, consistent care matters. It helps people feel supported through the changes, challenges, and progress that come with their health journey.

Behavioral health care is deeply human.

Training, clinical expertise, and structured programs matter. So does listening to lived experience, building trust, and meeting each person with dignity.

At Generations Healthcare, we continue investing in our behavioral health teams so care remains informed, compassionate, and centered on the people we serve.

Certified Nursing Assistants Week is here. 💙

From now through June 17, we’re celebrating the CNAs who make an unbelievable difference in the lives of residents every day.

This year’s theme, “We’re Unbelievable,” says it well. CNAs bring patience, compassion, and steady support to moments that matter, from daily care routines to the encouragement residents count on.

Thank you to the CNAs who show up with heart, skill, and dedication. You are an essential part of what makes care feel personal.
