Just one month after surgery, my patient is already seeing beautiful improvement in the balance between her nose and chin.

By taking down the dorsal hump and increasing chin projection with an implant, I created a more proportional profile.

It's important to remember that rhinoplasty results continue to evolve over time, and significant swelling is still present at this stage of recovery.

Even so, the early changes are already highlighting a more balanced relationship between the nose, chin, and jawline.

Is an isolated neck lift ever a good idea?

Patients ask me about isolated neck lifts at least once a week. And the short answer is sometimes.

When it comes to rejuvenating the neck, the best approach depends on your anatomy, age and aesthetic goals. For younger patients or those with minimal skin laxity, a structural neck lift can be done to create a sharper cervicomental angle (angle between the chin and neck). This is done through a small incision under the chin.

However, because the tissues of the lower face and neck are closely connected, the most natural and comprehensive results are often achieved when a face and neck lift are performed together. This allows for a vertical lifting approach that enhances both the jawline and neck simultaneously, creating smoother contours and more defined facial harmony.

While some patients choose to undergo a neck lift alone and can be very happy with their results, it's important to understand the limitations of the procedure. Proper patient education and realistic expectations are key to achieving a result you'll love.
