We’re excited to highlight Sadie who is a SCSU intern in the Recreation Department who recently planned and led their very first activity which was a meaningful Memory Frame project!

Residents had the opportunity to create personalized memory frames using items that hold special meaning, including photographs, newspaper clippings, patches, and other personal keepsakes.

From planning the activity to guiding residents through the creative process, this was a wonderful first experience in developing and leading a recreation program. We’re proud to see our interns gain hands-on experience, build confidence, and grow through meaningful experiences with our residents!

Love, dedication, and the power of giving back were recognized in a very special way.

We are incredibly proud that our volunteer church group, Enduring Love, was nominated for Group Volunteer of the Year and recognized at the annual ACHCA & CAHCF meeting. This nomination is a testament to the compassion, generosity, and commitment of everyone involved in making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Our Car Wash Fundraiser was a huge success, with 100% of the donations benefiting the Naugatuck Special Olympics. We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by, donated, and helped support these amazing athletes.

What does this award mean?
✨ Less than 1% of our residents develop an in-house acquired wound infection.
✨ Less than 1% require rehospitalization due to wound-related complications.
✨ Our facility is staffed with certified wound care nurses who provide expert, compassionate care every step of the way.

This recognition reflects the dedication, knowledge, and teamwork of our clinical staff, who work tirelessly to promote healing, prevent complications, and provide the highest quality care to every resident.
