❤️🙏 PRAYER VIGIL FOR THE HEIDENRICH FAMILY 🙏❤️

The Celebration Women's Ministry, Nederland Chapter invites our church family, friends, and community to join us as we come together in faith and prayer for the Heidenrich Family during this difficult time.

We invite you to join us Thursday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Sanctuary for an in-person Prayer Vigil dedicated to lifting up the Heidenrich Family in prayer. As the Body of Christ, we are called to stand together, encourage one another, and cover those who are hurting with love, compassion, and prayer.

Prayer cards will be available for you to write personal messages of encouragement, scripture verses, and prayers that will be given to the family as a reminder that they are deeply loved, supported, and being lifted up by so many.

If you are able to attend, we would love to fill our Sanctuary with hearts united in prayer as we seek God's comfort, strength, peace, and presence for this precious family and their friends.

In addition, we will be hosting a 24-Hour Prayer Vigil beginning Friday at 12:00 PM and continuing through Saturday at 12:00 PM. We invite everyone to sign up for one or more 30-minute prayer slots as we work together to ensure this family is continuously covered in prayer throughout the entire 24 hours.

No prayer is too small. No prayer goes unheard. We simply ask our church family and community to join us in surrounding the Heidenrich Family with an outpouring of love, support, hope, and prayer during this time. Together, let us be the hands and feet of Christ and remind them that they do not walk this journey alone.

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up." – 1 Thessalonians 5:11 ❤️

Early this morning at 5:14am Corey Heidenrich brother of Jordan and Nolan and precious son of Adam and Sherry gained his angel wings. He was in a car wreck going to work at Exxon Mobil refinery. He hydroplaned in the rain struck the median and was struck by two 18 wheelers and at least 4 other cars were also involved. Corey was a very intelligent, quiet, kind, gentle soul. Loved by everyone that met him. He would always help anyone who needed it. Gone way too soon at just 26. I don’t know how we will function after loosing him and the Jordan we once knew. God gave us perfect angels. Please keep our family and all of friends and coworkers in your prayers.
Love The Heidenrich Family 💕

Today is Jordan birthday he turned 29 today! Our plan was to take a sledgehammer to the old shower chair to celebrate! 😂 But that didn’t happen unfortunately. We got the new shower chair delivered but there was an issue with having the wrong seat on it so we had to return it. They will fix the issue and come back when it’s done.
We have made quite a few changes lately we got an aide for 11 hours a week mostly to clean do laundry and assist Chloe our private duty nurse during the day . We also did a meet and greet with a night nurse for Jordan that would work 40 hours a week. Hopefully that works out. She was nice and friendly and had some previous long-term home health experience.
Chloe made a difficult day for me very special by decorating Jordan’s room, getting Jordan a special stretchy golf shirt, a squishy sunshine, and a music box that plays “you are my sunshine”. Just now her children FaceTimed Jordan to tell him happy birthday. Y’all that woman has been an angel and such a HUGE blessing. I couldn’t even speak just cried and hugged her.

Unfortunately Jordan had a seizure early this morning at 3:30AM. We gave him his rescue medication immediately and it stopped about 6 minutes later. We think this seizure happened because he’s been vomiting and probably didn’t keep down most of his seizure medications at 9PM. He’s needed a lot of suctioning lately, with that comes coughing. He has issues not being able to swallow normally and ends up aspirating because of it. Hopefully he avoids getting pneumonia. He has not had a seizure since February 15th 2025! Before his seizures would come in clusters of several in a few weeks. Hoping that’s not the case this time. We’re having a quiet day resting today. He’s watching the cop show Live PD on tv.

Please take the time to tell Chloe' Cormier how much she has meant to us. How much we’ve prayed for someone like her. I got to the point I lost all hope of ever getting any help it was too much stress for one person to handle. It is nurses appreciation week!
We went to TIRR to Dr Pelini on Wednesday everything went well. Jordan needed some new orders and is dealing with some additional pain during the afternoons that we are currently investigating the cause of. He’s been pretty stable lately. 😊 It’s been busy with everyone’s birthdays. Jordan’s 29th birthday is next week! Thank you for always being our support system! 💕

Hallelujah! We have silently been SO STRESSED about this! Prayers answered BCBS is back in network for Memorial Hermann which includes TIRR and the majority of all of his doctors.

Jordan had an appointment to get his new stainless steel tracheostomy today with Dr. Alava at UT . Chloe our private duty nurse actually inserted it under his direction because she’s only practiced in school on child mannequins. She did wonderful today giving Jordan a shower this morning ,dressed and ready, and she even got Jordan in the van on her first try! Trust me it’s a lot harder than you think driving that wheelchair in a confined space with oxygen bottle on the back and turning. Chloe looks so serious in that picture but trust me she’s a joy to us daily. She’s wonderful with Jordan. She calls him her sunshine ☀️ and takes him to the spa (shower) and the nail and massage salon often . 😂

We got approved for another private duty nurse today for an additional 44 hours weekly. So if you know an LVN looking for a full time M-F 9pm-5am nightly position they need to apply with Angels of Care.

We are STILL fighting for the shower chair! Even though it’s been “approved “ several times now I’ll probably make a separate post later about that when I have the energy to explain that pile of B.S. 💩 😑

But today I’m looking to the blessings of having found Chloe. And on the search for another night nurse and an aide that is not a felon. 🤦🏼‍♀️ That’s another whole post! 👀 😂 Thank god for our suspicion and Chloe’s quick googling!

It’s never a dull moment here!

We love you all and thank you for thinking of us often! Today was the first day someone didn’t have to take off work to go with me to Houston! 💕

Today Jordan had an appointment at TIRR. We took this opportunity to let Chloe (our first ever private duty nurse) get a better idea of just everything that Jordan needs and how you do it. Adam showed her this morning how he gives him a shower. It’s a major task for me with my spinal fusion. Then we went over how we dress, transfer him to his wheelchair and how to use the track systems in our vehicle, it provides a secure, versatile 4-point method for anchoring his wheelchair using floor-mounted metal tracks and tie-down straps. Not everyone knows about all these wheelchair gadgets. We got to stop at Buc-ee’s twice of course. Jordan’s appointment was with Dr. Li he was doing Botox in his right neck, pecs and outer lower right arm to prevent his spasticity in his right hand. It’s very hard to open and clean. We’re trying to prevent skin breakdown as well. He also got bilateral fasciotomies on both arms his tendons are shortening causing this “cording” under his arms preventing them from being lifted no amount of Botox will fix that. I think TIRR was an eye opening experience for Chloe, watching the procedures, seeing the gym, and how the conversations with the doctors there are different than our typical local doctors. Chloe is doing excellent and this is just her 3rd day. It’s A LOT to take in. She even was able to suction him in a moving vehicle! 😂 Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers we appreciate them all!

It has been 64 months since Jordan has been home after his AVM rupture and first hospitalization with NO help no caregiver except just me. I can not begin to explain the hardship that it has caused us … mentally and physically.
Today marks the FIRST day that Jordan had 8 hours of a private duty nurse. Chloe has been a true blessing that I hope that continues for a long time coming. We’ve been told that they are trying to up the hours from 40 hours to 120 hours per week. We obviously would have to hire more than one nurse for that. But for the meantime I’m going to praise this true blessing! Prayers are working. It should not be this difficult for the most vulnerable people to get care.

We’ve had a bad few weeks/days but things seem to be turning around hopefully. Jordan is needing around the clock suctioning. Probably a touch of whatever virus we had or just his colonization of klebsiella pneumoniae flaring up. Either way I’m asking for some prayers as we navigate some changes in his healthcare. Mainly getting some private duty nursing to help. This has been a LONG time coming. I almost don’t want to mention it as to Jinx it! 😂
