Wilson Medical Center is pleased to welcome Noah Schnieders, a third-year medical student at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, who has joined Neodesha Family Medicine for his family medicine clerkship.

Originally from Overland Park, Noah earned his undergraduate degree in human biology from KU before beginning medical school in Kansas City. While he plans to pursue a career in physical medicine and rehabilitation, his time in Neodesha offers a valuable opportunity to experience the meaningful relationships, hands-on learning and community connections that make rural healthcare special.

Working alongside Dr. McKellar and Dr. Barrett, Noah looks forward to learning from the dedicated professionals who make Wilson Medical Center a trusted resource for families throughout Southeast Kansas.

“Each student who spends time with us brings new energy and a fresh perspective,” said Adam Gall, Chief Operations Officer. “It’s rewarding to share the unique advantages of practicing medicine in a close-knit community like Neodesha.”

Sharing is caring…except when it comes to germs! 🤧

It’s International Infection Prevention Week, and with cold and flu season upon us, our Infection Preventionist, Hayley Gremp, RN, BSN, has a few friendly reminders to help keep our community healthy!

❤️ Share kindness, not germs! If you’re feeling under the weather, give yourself time to rest and recover. Your friends, family, and coworkers will thank you!

🧼 Clean hands are always in season! Frequent handwashing is one of the easiest ways to help prevent the spread of illness.

🤧 Cover those coughs and sneezes! Use a tissue or your elbow, not your hands!

💉 Don’t forget your flu shot! Vaccination is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of serious illness from influenza.

🏡 Look out for your neighbors! What might be a mild illness for one person can be much more serious for someone else, especially babies, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems.

A healthy community starts with all of us! This Infection Prevention Week, let’s do our part to keep our families, friends, and neighbors healthy!

Wilson Medical Center - Mammos & Massages was a beautiful reminder of what happens when women show up for women.

To the survivors who shared their stories, the women who came to listen, and every woman who made time for her health: thank you for making this morning so meaningful!

Behind every mammogram is a woman with a life, a family, a future and a story still being written. Your health deserves that appointment. Your story deserves every chapter.

Wilson Medical Center offers 3D mammography through our Radiology Department, bringing important breast screening services close to home. If it’s time for your mammogram, let this be your reminder to schedule it.

Here’s to early detection, the courage to care for ourselves, and women who remind each other that we’re never alone.

Michelle Burgell is our wonderful scrub tech and this week we want to give her an extra big thank you as we celebrate National Sterile Processing Week.

Before a successful surgery can begin, there’s important work happening behind the scenes. Her work helps ensure our surgical team has the instruments they need to provide safe, high-quality care to the patients who trust us with their health.

It was a festive fall night for the rehab crew! Thank you to the Neodesha Area Chamber of Commerce for promoting our downtown and shopping local!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Rehab Center last night! The Neodesha Area Chamber of Commerce Sip & Shop was a great opportunity for us to open our door and welcome community members in to meet our rehabilitation team.
