Across all UMC communities, vibrant living doesn’t stop with healthcare and support services.

Residents like Michele from Collingswood Manor, a UMC Community continue exploring new interests, participating in creative programs, volunteering, building friendships, and encouraging one another every day.

“I was determined to do everything. I haven’t stopped since!”

Your generosity helps make meaningful programs, outings, engagement opportunities, and personal connections possible for older adults across our communities.

✨ Flow & Flourish: The Neuroscience of Creative Living ✨

In our latest blog, Leah Strasser, our Artist-in-Residence at The Shores, a UMC Community, explores how tapping into creative activities like art, music, and writing can help unlock a powerful mental state known as “flow,” and support mental wellness, boost mood, and even strengthen brain function.

Another wonderful afternoon meeting families from across New Jersey at the GSA Foundation's Spring Concert Series at the PNC Bank Arts Center on June 11 — featuring Motown magic and Neil Diamond’s greatest hits!

Jim Roberts, Vice President of the UMC Foundation, kicked off the show with a warm welcome to the audience. We always love these chances to connect with our community and discuss the importance of planning ahead.

Congratulations to UMC University’s June 2026 graduating class! 🎓👏

At UMC, we believe it's important to equip our teammates with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive in their roles and better serve the families who count on us across New Jersey.

Each quarter, teammates from across the organization come together for hands-on learning designed by our leadership team. From hospitality best practices and HR insights to risk management and empathetic communication, these sessions strengthen both individual growth and our shared commitment to support older adults.

We’re proud to invest in our teammates and even prouder to celebrate all they’re accomplishing!

The 2026 UMC Summer Intern class has arrived, and we could not be more excited to have them on board! 🥳

Last week, the newest members of the UMC Family, Anna (Collingswood Manor), Brooke (Pitman Manor), Isabella (Collingswood Manor), Leah (The Shores), and Suraiya (Bristol Glen), joined us at our Home Office for a wonderful day of connection and collaboration.

They had the opportunity to have in-depth conversations with our senior leaders, learn more about our organization, and come together over lunch to connect with the UMC team and one another.

This group is already making us proud. We cannot wait to see the difference they will make this summer across our communities! 💛

Please join us in congratulating Anna Burke, Executive Director of Bristol Glen, a UMC Community, for being nominated for the Women of Distinction Award at the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce's 2nd Annual Inspiring Women Awards Luncheon. 👏

The award, inspired by Abigail Adams, Martha Washington, and Dolley Madison, recognizes women who have made a lasting impact through leadership, innovation, and dedication while exemplifying excellence, inspiring others, and paving the way for future generations — and Anna is doing just that at Bristol Glen every day.

Congratulations to Anna, and all of this year's award winners and nominees!
