Who said reading books is boring? 📚✨ At Indian Creek Independent & Assisted Living, our book club has been turning pages (and heads) for the past year.

Each month, residents don’t just read and discuss the story—they bring it to life with a meal inspired by the plot. This month, after reading The Girl on the Carpathia, they stepped into the story with an unforgettable “fine dining” experience.

Christmas in July was a hit! We celebrated with a photo booth, treats, Family Feud, and a fun gift bag giveaway game.

Nothing better than a lemonade stand and some fresh ink! Thanks to Mercy One Hospice for helping out with this fun activity. Our residents sure enjoyed the variety of flavors and finding fun places for their tats!

The Rolling Green Village and Indian Creek A.L. tenants enjoyed the sweet treats and visit from the Nevada Cubs Baseball Team. What a beautiful day to be outdoors cheering these boys on while they played a friendly game of wiffle ball.

Our Sip and Paint project was based off of a sunflower with each resident putting their own little flare to their canvas. We finished up with cute floral decorated cupcakes and ice cream. Kit with Wesley Life helped us with our painting project and brought in flowers for the nurses and pizza for the staff and Suncrest Hospice donated the ice cream for our treats! We always appreciate the outpouring of support we receive from our colleagues!

We continue to embrace the "Moments In Bloom" theme for National Skilled Nursing Care Week by learning how to arrange flowers with Chris Clark, owner of The Flower Bed. Each resident followed along step-by-step and then took their vase back to their room to enjoy them for the upcoming days. Jim Quales provided live music for us which is always a treat!

Gardening is good for the soul and planting during National Skilled Nursing Care Week was icing on the cake. The theme this year is "Moments in Bloom" so it just seemed fitting.

The SDA students and educators lent a hand to make this a success. Even Marley, our facility dog got in on the action!

Also a big shout out to St.Croix for hydrating us with La Croix and educating our staff on the benefits of hospice services!

Star Wars was the featured film during our "Matinee Monday" so we had to go all in and celebrate May the Fourth be With You! We had giveaways for the staff and served extra treats with the popcorn. The treats included light sabers (corn puffs), edible Ewoks (teddy grahams), and Hans Rolos. Our beverage was Vader-ade.
