I get asked all of the time about INVERSION TABLES, so I thought I would share some thoughts about them.
While inversion tables are generally considered safe and sometimes helpful, you need to be aware of some risks associated with their use:
1. Obviously the inversion table will increase the pressure to your head, neck and upper body generally. So, if you have:
* high blood pressure
* heart disease
* glaucoma or any other eye disease
* problems with your inner ear
* problems with your lungs
* on blood thinners
* pregnant
You might want to reconsider using your inversion table.
Inversion table therapy has also been known to break blood vessels, cause bleeding in the retinas in your eyes and has been sometimes associated with headaches and blurred vision.
And finally, believe it or not, some people have actually fallen off of their inversion table when it malfunctioned (broke) - apparently that is not that uncommon of an occurrence!
It is a good idea to get clearance from you P*P before you jump right on that inversion table!
