Some of our residents have a difficult time telling us what their Live A Dream would be. One of our lovely ladies, Helen, was one of them. When asked what she would want to do, she repeatedly told us “You don’t have to go to all of that trouble for me.”
Helen has always been a family woman, spending her weekends driving to Akron to see her grandchildren. She wakes up from naps, urgently asking us to check the roast and make sure we have enough table settings for the whole family. While she helps us set the table for us in , there is nothing like a nice meal with your closest loved ones.
Helen worked alongside our Legacy Leader, Boyce, to make this dinner special. Helen set the menu- her famous BBQ Beef alongside garlic mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and apple pie for dessert. She selected the decor, opting for a simple red palette and intimate dining spot.
When the time came, Helen got to share a lovely dinner alongside her daughter Beth and son-in-law Tim.
It was truly a beautiful evening filled with laughter, love, and good food.
