What happens when the person playing the shell game is someone you deal with every day?

Sometimes you have to accept what you cannot change.

You don’t have to keep banging your head against the wall to know it hurts.

Maybe it’s time to put down the torch. ❤️

💙💛 WHAT A TIME TO BE A BREWERS FAN! ⚾️

With last night’s win, Milwaukee has plenty to celebrate! And I have a little extra reason to celebrate!

That’s my big brother, Mike, making the news! ❤️

Mike recently retired and found himself the perfect job — riding his bike around American Family Field, meeting fans, and talking Brewers baseball!

But what makes this story so special is that it all started with our dad, a Korean War veteran who was once welcomed home by Milwaukee Braves legend Eddie Mathews with a baseball and the words, “Welcome home, Marine.”

In 1982, I was right there with my dad and Mike at Game 5 of the World Series, cheering on our Brewers! And now Mike is carrying on that tradition with his own children.

Three generations, countless memories, and a whole lot of Milwaukee pride!

Sometimes the best stories aren’t just about baseball. They’re about family, traditions, and the memories we make along the way.

So proud of my big brother! ❤️

LET’S GO BREWERS!! 💙💛⚾️

⚠️ Fair warning… this Tuesdays Together is a little longer than usual! 🤣 But I think it’s worth the conversation.

Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts about why they sometimes choose not to revisit difficult conversations. Soooo…Today we’re talking about what I call “The Shell Game.”

Maybe you’ve experienced a few of these behaviors yourself. Maybe you’ll even recognize something you’ve done. I think we can all learn something when we’re willing to look at both sides of a conversation.

I’d love to hear which ones resonate with you. And as always, your willingness to share might help someone else feel a little less alone. 🤍

Sometimes, no matter how carefully we explain ourselves, people still won’t understand. And sometimes, they simply aren’t willing to see our hearts.

I’ve learned there’s something incredibly freeing about accepting that.

It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t listen to criticism, acknowledge our mistakes, or take responsibility for our actions. We absolutely should.

But there’s a difference between accountability and constantly defending yourself to people who have already made up their minds about you.

One of the most liberating things I’ve learned is that I don’t need everyone to understand my heart. God already knows it.

And ultimately, He’s the one I answer to.

Not every criticism deserves a response. Not every misunderstanding needs correcting.

Sometimes peace begins when we stop trying to be understood by everyone and find comfort in being known by God. 🤍
